Background: Dyslexia, a learning disorder characterized by reading difficulties, can also impair memory function in students. Objectives: This study aimed to address the gap knowledge regarding effectiveness of brain training exercises enhancing this population. We investigated whether such interventions could improve academic success for students with dyslexia. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was utilized, incorporating pre-test, post-test, and 45-day follow-up measurements, control group comparison. The target population comprised elementary school diagnosed dyslexia at disability centers Tehran, Iran, during 2022 - 2023 year. Using convenience sampling, 30 participants were selected then randomly assigned either experimental (brain training) or through simple random assignment. Visual digit-letter sequencing abilities assessed using validated tools: Memory Questionnaire Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Third Edition (WAIS-III) Digit-Letter Sequencing subtest, respectively. participated eight sessions, each lasting 60 minutes, while received no intervention period. Data analysis performed SPSS version 27.0. Repeated measures ANOVA Bonferroni post-hoc tests employed data analysis. Results: Post-test visual scores significantly higher (M = 8.73, SD 1.60) compared 5.30, 1.25). Auditory demonstrated similar trend, outperforming 10.80, SD=1.78 vs. M 6.86, 1.99). program produced significant improvements auditory among dyslexia, as evidenced post-test results (P < 0.001). Conclusions: finding suggests robust positive effect on function. These suggest that be promising

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a type of metabolic stress injury closely related to insulin resistance (IR) and genetic susceptibility without alcohol consumption, which encompasses spectrum disorders ranging from simple hepatic lipid accumulation, known as steatosis, the more severe form steatohepatitis (NASH). NASH can progress cirrhosis hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), posing significant health risks. As multisystem disease, NAFLD associated with systemic resistance, central obesity, disorders, contribute its pathogenesis development extrahepatic complications, such cardiovascular (CVD), 2 diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney certain cancers. Recent evidence highlights indispensable roles intestinal barrier dysfunction gut microbiota in onset progression NAFLD/NASH. This review provides comprehensive insight into role NAFLD, including function assessment, inflammatory factors, TLR4 signaling, gut–liver axis. Finally, we conclude discussion on potential therapeutic strategies targeting permeability individuals NAFLD/NASH, interventions medications/probiotics, fecal transplantation (FMT), modifications lifestyle, exercise diet.

Abstract Background Social communication impairments (SCI) is a core symptom of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and marked by challenges in social interaction. Although physical exercise has been shown to improve SCI, this finding not supported comprehensive scientific evidence. Existing research established strong link between the SCI children with ASD abnormalities regional homogeneity (ReHo). Therefore, investigating effects on Reho patients may help elucidate neurological mechanisms involved. Methods The present study included 30 preschool diagnosed ASD, 15 participants each group (experimental control). experimental underwent 12-week mini-basketball training program (MBTP) based routine behavioral rehabilitation, while control only received rehabilitation. Responsiveness Scale-Second Edition (SRS-2) was employed assess both groups. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging technology used evaluate ReHo Results After MBTP, significant × time interactions were observed groups total SRS-2 scores ( F = 14.514, p < 0.001, η 2 0.341), as well domains cognition 15.620, 0.358), 12.460, 0.01, 0.308), autistic mannerisms 9.970, 0.263). No statistical difference found for awareness subscale motivation interaction (all > 0.05). exhibited increased right Cerebellum_Crus1 parahippocampal gyrus, coupled decreased left middle frontal gyrus (orbital part), superior (dorsolateral), postcentral parietal gyrus. Furthermore, decrease positively correlated changes behaviors Conclusions Our underscores effectiveness MBTP ameliorating among ASD. Autism spectrum disorder is a pervasive and heterogeneous neurodevelopmental condition characterized by social communication difficulties rigid, repetitive behaviors. Owing to the complex pathogenesis of autism, effective drugs for treating its core features are lacking. Nonpharmacological approaches, including education, social-communication, behavioral psychological methods, exercise interventions, play important roles in supporting needs autistic individuals. The advantages intervention, such as low cost, easy implementation, high acceptance, have garnered increasing attention. Exercise interventions can effectively improve co-occurring conditions but underlying neurobiological mechanisms unclear. Abnormal changes gut microbiome, neuroinflammation, neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity may individually or interactively be responsible atypical brain structure connectivity, leading specific experiences characteristics. Interestingly, affect these biological processes reshape network connections, which explain how alleviates In this review, we describe definition, diagnostic approach, epidemiology, current support strategies autism; highlight benefits interventions; call individualized programs different subtypes Finally, possible improves comprehensively summarized inform development optimal targets meet
