Background: For effective control of Monkey pox (Mpox), clinicians need to have adequate knowledge the disease and adopt appropriate practices contain it. This study sought assess medical doctors regarding pox. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional design was utilized for using a two stage sampling method, 210 working in Sokoto metropolis were recruited into study. set structured, pretested self-administered questionnaire used obtain relevant information from participants. Data obtained analyzed SPSS computer software version 23 with level statistical significance at p<0.05 Results: All respondents aware Mpox more than half (52.3%) having internet as their commonest source information. Background: Mpox, a zoonotic viral disease, has recently emerged as significant global public health challenge. Historically confined to endemic regions in West and Central Africa, recent outbreaks non-endemic areas have highlighted the critical role of healthcare professionals (HCPs) disease management prevention. Methods: This cross-sectional study surveyed 709 Israeli HCPs, with mean age 40.6 ± 9.4 years, evaluate their knowledge, perceptions, attitudes toward mpox identify gaps inform educational strategies. Results: Findings revealed that only 38.9% respondents demonstrated good knowledge about mpox, while 61.1% exhibited poor knowledge. Misconceptions were prevalent: 37.9% identified paracetamol option, 31.0% recognizing need for antivirals. Notably, 67.1% correctly yet 47.2% aware lymphadenopathy is distinguishing symptom. ABSTRACT Background Mpox is a zoonotic disease that has become significant public health concern, especially in regions beyond its usual endemic areas Africa. This study aims assess knowledge, attitudes, factors associated with HCPs regarding infections at Debre Tabor Comprehensive Specialized Hospital Northwest Ethiopia. Methods Between June 13th September 3rd, 2024, cross‐sectional was conducted, among 384 selected through convenience sampling. A pretested, well‐structured, questionnaire used sociodemographic characteristics, attitudes HCPs. collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics logistic regression. p ‐value ≤ 0.05 considered statistically association. Results Out participants, majority male (55.47%) aged 31–39 years (33.85%). Nurses made up largest professional group 31.25%.
