Abstract
Background
Lung
cancer
is
the
third
most
common
type
of
in
UK.
Treatment
outcomes
are
poor
and
UK
deaths
from
lung
higher
than
any
other
cancer.
Prehabilitation
has
shown
to
be
an
important
means
preparing
patients
both
physically
psychologically
for
treatment.
However,
little
understood
about
context
mechanisms
prehabilitation
that
can
impact
physiological
psychological
wellbeing.
Our
aim
was
review
summarise
primary
research
on
pathway
using
a
realist
approach.
Methods
A
scoping
empirical
conducted.
Five
online
medical
databases
2016
–
February
2023
were
searched.
All
articles
reporting
included
review.
For
this
review,
defined
as
either
uni-modal
or
multi-modal
intervention
including
exercise,
nutrition
and/or
psychosocial
support
within
home,
community
hospital
based
setting.

Results
In
total,
31
studies
which,
three
published
study
protocols.
Over
95%
featured
exercise
component

programme.
Twenty-six
had
