The education sector has significant well-being issues, with high levels of occupational stress and burnout. Previous research focused on environmental factors in isolation, overlooking the influence personality. Universiti Teknologi Mara Perlis (UiTM Perlis) (n=100) completed an online survey composed three questionnaires; NEO Five-Factor Inventory, Maslach Burnout Job Stress Survey. Multiple regression analysis revealed that personality is a better predictor than environment (p<.001). Neuroticism trait significantly predicts (p<.001), components neuroticism contribute most to are depression (p=.002) anger hostility (p=.005). Overall findings suggest newly employees at greater risk suffering from those well established profession, higher likely experience stress. Implications highlight need for awareness potentially susceptible traits employee’s admissions process. This would allow identification implementation interventions.

Abstract The study of the effect virtual work environments on emotional health employees has received considerable attention in recent years. This study investigated the influence of job satisfaction on lecturers’ retention in North-East, Nigeria’s Colleges Education. The employed a descriptive survey design. targeted population 2,328 lecturers from Education Nigeria. A sample 327 respondents was selected through multistage sampling procedure. Three objectives, three research questions and null hypotheses were formulated to guide study. Data collection carried out with use instrument titled “Job Satisfaction Lecturers Retention Questionnaire (JSLRQ)”. reliability assessed using Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient score 0.85 obtained, indicating high reliability. analysis performed Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), employing both inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics presented Means Standard Deviation, while Simple Linear Regression Analysis, tested at 5% significance level. empirical findings this demonstrate that substantive enhancement may yield corresponding increase rate. finding revealed, among others, working conditions statistically significantly (β = .396).
