Previous literature reviews on life cycle sustainability assessment (LCSA) have delved into methodology, case studies, reviews, and discussions indicators integration. However, there has been a limited focus redefining the economic dimension of LCSA framework addressing challenges at lower technological readiness levels (TRL) for emerging technologies. This study fills this gap by concentrating its application to We introduce innovative suggestions expanding traditional Life Cycle Costing (LCC) method incorporate costs concerning various stakeholders tangible suitable diverse stakeholder groups. Our research also categorizes technologies based TRL within LCSA, highlighting significant impacts data sources. Two primary areas recommendations emerged: 1) For technologies, we emphasize using sources, importance uncertainty sensitivity analyses, need accurate characterization factors. 2) On front, advocate an expanded LCC approach, potential Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), exploration ties between micro macroeconomic dimensions.

In recent years, the wine industry has been researching how to improve quality along production value chain. this scenario, we present here a new tool, MicroVi, cost-effective chip-sized microscopy solution detect and count yeast cells in samples. We demonstrate that novel setup is able measure same type of samples as an optical system, but with smaller size equipment automated cell configuration. The technology relies on top state-of-the-art computer vision pipelines post-process images cells. A typical pipeline consists normalization, feature extraction (i.e., SIFT), image composition (to increase both resolution scanning area), holographic reconstruction particle Hough transform). MicroVi achieved 2.19 µm by properly resolving G7.6 features from USAF Resolving Power Test Target 1951. Additionally, aimed for successful calibration counts Saccharomyces cerevisiae. compared our direct results current setup, achieving linear measurements ranging 0.5 50 million per milliliter.
