In order to study the characteristics and sources of heavy metal pollution within different grassland soil categories in Altay, 147 samples were collected Fuyun County according type, contents seven metals (Cu, Pb, Cr, Zn, As, Ni, Cd) determined. The was evaluated using Nemerow geological accumulation index methods. absolute principal component score–multiple linear regression model (APCS-MLR) used analyze contribution rate sources. results showed that (1) content 0~10 cm mining area generally higher than remaining two layers. Natural most seriously contaminated, its contamination Zn > Pb Ni Cd Cu Cr As. (2) evaluation comprehensive main pollutants five types, method natural grasslands more polluted. In recent years, the increase in pollutants has caused environment to be exposed pollution. Heavy metals (HMs) carry irreparable risks due their accumulation and non-biodegradability. Soil contamination with HMs causes plants animals ultimately effects on human health. Due toxic nature of HMs, very trace amounts them can cause problems. Improper disposal waste, sewage, pesticides, automobiles, steelmaking activities, coal mines, thermal power are main sources emissions. Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is staple food most population many countries. Unfortunately, rice ability accumulate metals, hence if contaminated, it have a negative effect health quality life people. this study, soil been investigated. Also, some removal processes (physical, chemical, phytoremediation, microbial remediation) from

Abstract The rapid development of mining resources in the northwest oasis industrial and cities has brought many environmental problems. Previous research on heavy metals Northwest Oasis mainly focused soil-wheat system, lacking soil-corn system. As one main crops grown region, pollution corn grains is closely related to physical health people region. results show that average content Cu Ni soil study area were 124.00 mg kg− 1 136.80 1, respectively, which are both higher than background value area. various varies among organs corn, contents highest tassel. spatial distribution characteristics have similarities may same source. Bio-concentration translocation factors plants > Ni. hazard quotient (HQ) children adults less 1, indicating no significant risks for children.

This study aims to understand the risks posed by metals in Peruvian coffee plantations human health and environmental integrity, ensuring protection of local communities ecosystems reliant on this agricultural activity. To assess contamination levels, arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb) were surveyed soil, roots, parchment beans cultivated Amazonas San Martin regions, using both conventional organic cultivation. Results showed that As was metal with highest concentration soil (52.37 ± 21.16 mg/kg), roots (11.27 2.3 (10.19 1.69 followed Cr (22.36 11.47 mg/kg) (8.17 3.85 Pb (0.7 0.05 mg/kg).
