Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) enters the nasal cavity, penetrates epithelial cells through interaction of its spike protein with host cell receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE2) and then triggers a cytokine storm. We aimed to assess biocompatibility fullerenol nanoparticles C

Oxidative stress refers to the phenomenon in which redox balance of body is disrupted response stimuli, leading an excessive accumulation reactive oxygen species vivo, can lead a variety diseases. In contrast artificial antioxidants, whose safety controversial, natural are widely available, pharmacologically active, and have little toxic side effects, expected be candidates for treatment oxidative stress-related Polygonum viviparum L. (PV) herbal medicine with antioxidant properties used as traditional Tibetan Plateau region. However, there few studies that focused on its activity mechanism action vitro vivo. Therefore, present study firstly demonstrated PV could exert good effects by scavenging DPPH radicals inhibiting production hydroxyl through experiments. Secondly, was proven attenuate weight gain thymus development establishing Senna leaf-induced diarrhea model rats, well increase enzymes content non-enzymatic antioxidants intestinal tract enhance rats’ own defenses, mitigate damage caused diarrhea. Subsequently, application cellular evidenced play protective role against overaccumulation ROS macrophages. Furthermore, candidate targets were analyzed screened using comprehensive network pharmacology method, their expression then examined at mRNA level protein level. Our results suggest may protect H2O2-induced macrophages activating BCL2L1 ESR1, JAK2/STAT3, MMP2. These findings open new perspectives prospect developing it novel drug.

Published: April 2, 2024

Postbiotics or/ and inactivated probiotics recently have driven attention it seems they can overcome the problems of probiotics. This paper explores a comparison between (postbiotics) containing starter bacteria in fermented products. The study focused on potential synergies benefits incorporating probiotic cells into fermentation process especially to enhance viability cultures, physicochemical nutritional properties, elevate overall product quality. In this context, substitution with postbiotics is being considered.
