Abstract Annexin A2 (ANXA2) is a multifunctional protein that binds to calcium and phospholipids plays critical role in various pathological conditions, including cancer inflammation. Recently, there has been increasing recognition of the significant ANXA2 inhibiting apoptosis promoting immune evasion tumour cells. Therefore, deep understanding regulatory mechanisms cell its relationship with can provide new targets for therapy. This review summarizes regulating cells, connection between regulation immunity, potential therapy resistance.

ANXA2 is a multifunctional member of the annexin protein family, implicated in vesicular transport, antioxidant defense, and actin remodeling. Its role oncogenesis actively investigated, notably glioblastoma, astrocytoma, breast cancer. However, growing body literature explores ANXA2’s involvement neurodegenerative processes. The evidence suggests potential contribution to pathogenesis primary secondary tauopathies, as well Parkinson’s disease. It crucial note that majority these findings are correlative necessitate further experimental validation. This review therefore presents comprehensive analysis data pertaining various cellular processes, disruption which contributes neurological pathologies.
