Immersive virtual reality (IVR) uses customized and advanced software hardware to create a digital 3D in which all of the user's senses are stimulated with computer-generated sensations feedback. This technology is promising tool that has already proven useful Parkinson's disease (PD). The risk falls very high people PD, reaction times processing speed may be markers postural instability functionality, cognitive impairment progression. An exploratory study was conducted explore feasibility time tests performed IVR as predictors falls. A total 26 volunteers (79.2% male; 69.73 ± 6.32 years) diagnosed PD (1.54 0.90 H&Y stage; 26.92 2.64 MMSE) took part study. intervention feasible, no adverse effects (no Simulator Sickness Questionnaire symptoms). were related (Spearman's rho) functionality (timed up go test (TUG) (rho = 0.537, p 0.005); TUG-Cognitive 0.576, 0.020); mini mental state exam (MMSE) -0.576, 0.002)) years patients 0.399, 0.043) but not first symptom or stage. complementary assessment contribute preventing proposed sample. Additionally, based on relationship between TUG times, cut-off suggested would effective at predicting suffering fall using simple quick test.

Personalized training systems and augmented reality are two of the most promising educational technologies since they could enhance engineering students? spatial ability. Prior research has examined benefits integration in increasing motivation enhancing their skills. However, based on review literature, current do not provide adaptivity to individual needs. In view above, this paper presents a novel adaptive system, which teaches knowledge domain technical drawing. The novelty proposed system is that it proposes using fuzzy sets represent levels more accurately system. determines amount level difficulty learning activities delivered students, progress. main contribution student-centered, providing students with an experience. evaluation took place during 2021-22 2022-23 winter semesters, results very promising.

Medical image analysis forms the basis of image-guided surgery (IGS) and many its fundamental tasks. Driven by growing number medical imaging modalities, research community has developed methods achieved functionality breakthroughs. However, with overwhelming pool information in literature, it become increasingly challenging for researchers to extract context-relevant specific applications, especially when widely used exist a variety versions optimized their respective application domains. By being further equipped sophisticated three-dimensional (3D) visualization digital reality technology, experts could enhance performance capabilities IGS multiple folds. The goal this narrative review is organize key components aspects processing new perspective insights. literature search was conducted using mainstream academic engines combination keywords relevant field up until mid-2022. This survey systemically summarizes basic, mainstream, state-of-the-art as well how technology like augmented/mixed/virtual (AR/MR/VR) are enhancing IGS. Further, we hope that will shed some light on future face challenges opportunities directions visualization.
