We encounter plastic materials daily. Many companies opt to use in manufacturing their products keep production costs low, hence making it affordable for consumers. Though this makes easier consumers buy daily necessities, industries release 1.34 billion tons of greenhouse gas annually. Additionally, persists the environment because its extremely low rate biodegradation. The build up has led dangerous levels pollution which affected wildlife, climate, and human health. A prominent solution problem is ongoing research on bioplastics, plastics made from renewable sources (like microbes plants) instead petroleum. current issue with these bioplastics though, that they are not as durable normal since easily degrade. rigorous search a material combats synthetic plastic’s durability chitosan, biodegradable sugar found exoskeleton shellfish. Due antimicrobial properties, lower degradation compared other bioplastics. This chitosan-based comparable plastics. Through research, will be tested through soil burial test tensile strength test. discusses how varying concentration chitosan mimics natural biodegradation mechanisms whilst combating

Effective waste management has become an urgent societal challenge. Food is made up of items meant for human consumption that are lost, polluted, disposed of, or deteriorated; the reutilization shells from mollusk a severe problem in terms environmental protection and development circular economy. The properties presented discussed, including their biological–natural origin high calcium carbonate content. This could add social innovation focus on shell management, getting non-toxic, eco-sustainable, low-cost, biodegradable supplement to invest in. Furthermore, it potential support economy approach by creating closed system minimizes use natural resources contamination. review explores edible sources functional inorganic components snail like minerals active substances chitin, chitosan, attempts carry out comprehensive analysis scientific literature published over last 20 years, elucidating prominent patterns utilization food application industry, as additives supplements promote both animal health.

The "Great Acceleration" of the mid-20th century provides causal mechanism Anthropocene, which has been proposed as a new epoch geological time beginning in 1952 CE. Here we identify key parameters and their diagnostic palaeontological signals including rapid breakdown discrete biogeographical ranges for marine terrestrial species, changes to ecologies resulting from climate change ecological degradation, spread exotic foodstuffs beyond range, accumulation reconfigured forest materials such medium density fibreboard (MDF) all being symptoms Great Acceleration. We show: 1) how Anthropocene successions North America, South Africa, Oceania, Europe, Asia can be correlated using signatures highly invasive species that demonstrate growing interconnectivity human systems; 2) unique depositional settings landfills may concentrate remains organisms far geographical range environmental tolerance; 3) preserve long-lived, record within post-mid-20th deposits. Nitrogen and phosphorus in freshwaters are a global environmental challenge. Concurrently, the shellfish industry’s calcareous waste shells (CWSs) amount to ~10 million tonnes annually. CWSs can effectively adsorb dissolved pollutants, including nutrients, from water, which has motivated growing number of experimental studies on recycling wastewater treatment. This comprehensive literature review summarises critically assesses effectiveness using different for removing nutrients water. The effects CWS type, initial pollutant concentration, adsorbent dosage, particle size, contact time (CT) investigated. results show that removal been examined more than nitrogen. Most have conducted synthetic under laboratory conditions only. There is large variability conditions, such as dosages (0.1–100 g/L) CT (0.083–360 h). calcination frequently used enhance adsorption capacity. Langmuir isotherm model found fit data best when raw oyster used, while Freundlich calcinated mussel shells. pseudo-second-order (PSO) kinetics tends describe better pseudo-first-order (PFO) all shell types. significant potential remove line with circular economy aspirations.

The significance of accurate energy production prediction cannot be overstated, especially in the context achieving carbon neutrality and balancing traditional clean sources. Unlike conventional models with simplified assumptions or limited data inputs hindering usage optimization, waste reduction efficient resource allocation, we introduced a novel structural equation modelling approach to eight manufacturing industries' sustainable management practices (SWMPs) Iraq. This comprehensive analysis, conducted Smart PLS software on 375 responses aims enhance predictions' accuracy support sustainability goals contribute promote balanced mix that supports environmental stewardship. findings reveal noteworthy insights: notably, chemical companies exhibit substantial advantage from green accounting practices, witnessing 78.1 % 45.8 improvement auditing oversight SWMPs, respectively, compared other sectors. Compared grey models, our model demonstrates 1-unit CSR enhances effectiveness by 33.4 56.9 across industries. By leveraging these data-driven insights innovative approaches, can drive positive change towards more resilient future, collectively contributing resilient, efficient, ecosystem benefits societies, economies, environment. heightened facilitated empowers stakeholders at regional global levels make informed decisions, mitigate risks, policy development, achieve goals, formulate effective policies foster collaboration.
