Abstract Background Ventilator‐associated pneumonia (VAP) is a common hospital‐acquired infection in the intensive care unit (ICU), often linked to poor oral care. Despite its importance, frequently neglected ICU settings, leading increased morbidity and health costs. Aim To explore challenges nurses face providing mechanically ventilated patients identify their specific educational needs. Study Design This study employed qualitative descriptive design detail experiences ICU. Standardized research reporting protocols ensured integrity. Data collection included observational methods using video photographic records, followed by heuristic interviews. Results Three key themes were identified: logistical care, need for more education better resource allocation importance of ethical communication nursing. Differences policy implementation, spatial constraints barriers highlighted improved education, management enhanced strategies while maintaining patient dignity. Background: Global cancer diagnoses are increasing, and treatment often results in oral health concerns. Background: Application of standardized oral care for children receiving artificial respiration can improve the mouth integrity and overall health status. In addition to preventing infections that may spread respiratory tract consequently shortening hospital length stay. The study aimed determine effect a multi - component educational intervention on nurses, performance regarding mechanically ventilated children. Research Design: A quasi experimental design was utilized. Subjects: convenient sample included 60 nurses from Pediatric Intensive Care Units Tanta International Educational Hospital Main University Hospital. Two tools were used: Nurses, knowledge assessment questionnaire practices observational checklist. Results: Three quarters all had low unsatisfactory practice pre respectively whereas, immediately one month post intervention, mothers' scores have been improved. Conclusion: significantly improved Recommendations: Continuous training about interventions should be provided. Oral protocol available in every pediatric setting.
