As a plant-specific transcription factor family, HD-Zip proteins exist widely among various plants. Depending on the degrees of homology, conservativeness, domain similarity, and physiological function, family genes can be divided into four subclasses: class I, II, III, IV. In terms members not only regulate plant growth development, but also respond to variety abiotic stresses improve adaptability plants adverse conditions. This chapter mainly summarizes from perspective structure so as deepen understanding factors.

Abstract The naturally occurring bisexual cone of gymnosperms has long been considered a possible intermediate stage in the origin flowers, but mechanisms governing formation remain largely elusive. Here, we employed transcriptomic and DNA methylomic analyses, together with hormone measurement, to investigate molecular underlying development conifer Picea crassifolia . Our study reveals “bisexual” expression profile cones, especially patterns B-class, C-class LEAFY genes, supporting out male model. GGM7 could be essential for initiating cones. methylation reconfiguration cones affects key genes development, including PcDAL12 , PcDAL10 PcNEEDLY PcHDG5 Auxin likely plays an important role female structures This unveils potential responsible conifers may shed light on evolution bisexuality.

Climate change-induced weather events, such as extreme temperatures, prolonged drought spells, or flooding, pose an enormous risk to crop productivity. Studies on the implications of multiple stresses may vary from those a single stress. Usually, these coincide, amplifying extent collateral damage and contributing significant financial losses. The breadth investigations focusing response horticultural crops abiotic stress is immense. However, tolerance mechanisms remain poorly understood. In this review, we described most prevalent types that occur simultaneously discussed them in in-depth detail regarding physiological molecular responses crops. particular, transcriptional, posttranscriptional, metabolic stresses. Strategies breed multi-stress-resilient lines have been presented. Our manuscript presents interesting amount proposed knowledge could be valuable generating resilient genotypes for stressors.

The plant-specific Ovate Family Proteins (OFPs) are transcription factors with a conserved OVATE domain. OFPs regulate organ shape in Arabidopsis and many crops, including rice, tomato, melon. However, little is known regarding the OFPs' potential role regulating plant immune response to biotic/abiotic stresses. Herein, we reported identification, bioinformatic, Insilco analysis of plant-specific, novel factor rice (Oryza sativa L). Thirty-one OsOFP genes were identified from genome database further divided into six subgroups based on their sequence similarities. Gene expression developmental stages indicated that some members gene family displayed tissue-specific patterns. Enrichment hormonal-related cis-acting elements varied under phytohormones validated participation hormone-mediated growth. microarray showed possible involvement against salinity, drought, brown planthopper (BPH)_ striped stemborer (SSB) (OsOFP25), leaf folder (RLF) (OsOFP26) infestations. higher OsOFP25 OsWRKY65-OE line implies key reproductive biology. These results provide systematic lay foundation for functional characterization this family.
