The gut microbiota plays a critical role in maintaining healthy human body and its dysregulation is associated with various diseases. In this study, we investigated the influence of microbiome diversity on development chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Analysis stool samples from 59 CLL patients revealed individual heterogeneous compositions, but allowed for grouping according to their diversity. Interestingly, lower an enrichment bacteria linked poor health suffered more advanced or aggressive form CLL. Eµ-TCL1 mouse model CLL, observed faster course disease when mice were housed high hygiene conditions. Shotgun DNA sequencing fecal showed that was which dominated by Mucispirillum Parabacteroides genera comparison kept under conclusion, applied taxonomic analyses demonstrate link between clinical humans, as well mice. Our novel data serve basis further investigations decipher pathological mechanistic intestinal development.

Abstract Increasing evidence suggests that intratumoral microbiota plays a pivotal role in tumor progression, immunosurveillance, metastasis, and chemosensitivity. Particularly, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, tumor‐resident Gammaproteobacteria could transform the chemotherapeutic drug gemcitabine (Gem) into its inactive form, thus rendering chemotherapy ineffective. Herein, strategy for selectively eradicating bacteria was described overcoming Gem resistance cancer animal model. An antimicrobial peptide linked with photosensitizer through poly (ethylene glycol) chain, which can self‐assemble micelles diameter of ∼20 nm. The efficiently kill under light irradiation by inducing membrane depolarization, thereby inhibiting metabolism. In bacteria‐resident model, selective photodynamic eradication demonstrated to reverse resistance. This research highlights antibacterial therapy as promising adjuvant modulating microbiota.

Microbial metabolites have been indicated to communicate with the host's endocrine system, regulating hormone production, immune-endocrine communications, and interactions along gut-brain axis, eventually affecting occurrence of cancer. Furthermore, microbiota such as short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) found affect tumor microenvironment boost immunity against tumors. SCFAs, including butyrate acetate, demonstrated exert anti-proliferative anti-protective activity on pancreatic cancer cells. The employing microbial metabolic products in conjunction radiation chemotherapy has shown promising outcomes terms reducing treatment side effects boosting effectiveness. Certain metabolites, valerate butyrate, made known improve efficiency CAR T-cell treatment, whilst others, indole-derived tryptophan inhibit immunity. This review explores intricate interplay between tumorigenesis, spanning mechanistic insights discovery potential therapeutic biomarkers.
