The liver is one of the organs most commonly involved in metastatic disease, especially due to its unique vascularization. It’s well known that metastases represent common hepatic malignant tumors. From a practical point view, it’s utmost importance evaluate presence when staging oncologic patients, select best treatment possible, and finally predict overall prognosis. In past few years, imaging techniques have gained central role identifying metastases, thanks ultrasonography, contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MRI). All these techniques, CT MRI, can be considered non-invasive reference standard for assessment involvement by metastases. On other hand, affected different focal lesions, sometimes benign, malignant. bases, radiologists should face differential diagnosis between benign secondary lesions correctly allocate patients management. Considering above-mentioned principles, extremely important underline refresh broad spectrum features occur everyday clinical practice. This review aims summarize with special focus on typical atypical appearance, using MRI.

Retroperitoneal liposarcomas (RPLPS) are rare soft tissue sarcomas that often present asymptomatically, leading to delayed diagnosis and challenging management. This case series highlights the impact of histological subtypes on prognosis recurrence. Three male patients with recurrent RPLPS were compared. Two cases well-differentiated liposarcoma (WDLPS) had favorable outcomes tumor-free margins, despite recurrence in one. The third case, a dedifferentiated (DDLPS), presented larger, high-grade tumor requiring extensive resection higher risk. Histological subtype, size, grade key prognostic factors. WDLPS showed better outcomes, while DDLPS was more aggressive radical surgery. Recurrence remained major concern, emphasizing need for early detection vigilant long-term surveillance. underscores variability presentation highlighting individualized surgical strategies close follow-up improve prognosis.

Objective: This study aims to clarify the frequency of renal parenchymal defects and deformations in each subtype perirenal liposarcomas compare differences between well-differentiated non–well-differentiated types. Methods: Patients with seen July 2004 June 2024 were included. Two radiologists blinded subtypes retrospectively evaluated CT or MR images for deformations. Frequencies these findings compared versus types using Fisher test. Results: Forty-two patients (mean age: 66.3±11.5 y; 15 men) Renal observed 0 (0%) 1 (7.7%) 13 well-differentiated, 5 (29.4%) 6 (35.3%) 17 dedifferentiated, 3 (37.5%) 8 myxoid, (25.0%) 4 pleomorphic types, respectively. Non–well-differentiated had higher frequencies [9 29 (31.0%) vs. (0%), P =0.038 7 (24.1%) (7.7%), =0.398]. Conclusion: can be occasionally unlike liposarcomas.

Retroperitoneal tumors (RPTs) encompass both benign and malignant entities, constituting ~0.1% to 0.2% of all tumors, which 70% 80% manifest malignancy. Predominantly, retroperitoneal sarcomas (RPS) represent the most prevalent subtype among RPT. With over 70 histologic forms identified, liposarcomas leiomyosarcomas emerge as primary constituents RPS. Accurate diagnosis RPTs necessitates preoperative core-needle biopsy comprehensive imaging assessment. The current staging protocol for RPS relies on eighth edition American Joint Committee Cancer/TNM classification. Surgical excision remains established gold standard treating Therapeutic approaches vary according underlying pathophysiology. Although chemotherapy radiotherapy exhibit efficacy in managing metastatic recurrent unresectable RPS, their role unresolved, necessitating further clinical trials validation. Concurrently, ongoing research explores potential targeted therapies immunotherapy. Abstract Background Benign nerve sheath tumors presenting as solitary retroperitoneal masses (RBNSTs) pose a complex diagnostic challenge for multidisciplinary teams regarding differential diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning. This article reviews the role played by different imaging techniques in assessing RBNSTs elucidates their typical pathological features with particular emphasis on correlation between histological findings. Furthermore, some examples of that merit consideration process diagnosis based cross-sectional investigations (CSIs) are reported. The tissue architecture appearance can help increase accuracy other neoplasms at CSIs. Critical relevance statement educational review critically examines benign tumors, offering valuable insights improving clinical radiology. Key Points challenging to diagnose because they lack specific radiological features. Differential from is complex. Surgical removal recommended an accurate diagnosis. Graphical
