Abstract
Individuals
diagnosed
with
autism,
attachment
disorders,
emotionally
unstable
personality
disorder
(EUPD)
or
complex
post‐traumatic
stress
(CPTSD)
can
present
similar
features.
This
renders
differential
and
accurate
diagnosis
of
these
conditions
difficult,
leading
to
diagnostic
overshadowing
misdiagnosis.
The
purpose
this
study
was
explore
professionals'
perspectives
on
the
disorders
CPTSD
in
young
people;
EUPD
adults.
A
co‐produced
three‐round
Delphi
gathered
information
through
a
series
questionnaires
from
106
international
professionals
expertise
assessing
and/or
diagnosing
at
least
one
conditions.
To
provide
specialist
guidance
data
triangulation,
working
groups
experts
by
experience,
clinicians
researchers
were
consulted.

Background:
Reactive
attachment
disorder
(RAD)
and
disinhibited
social
engagement
(DSED)
manifest

individuals
