The Annona genus contains some species used in Mexican traditional medicine for the treatment cancer, including macroprophyllata (A. macroprophyllata). present study aimed to investigate anticancer activity of caryophyllene oxide (CO) isolated from A. using vivo, vitro, and silico approaches. identification CO was performed gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy NMR methods. Antilymphoma evaluated male female Balb/c mice inoculated with U-937 cells. Cytotoxic WST method flow cytometry determine type cell death. Acute oral toxicity determined, a molecular docking target proteins associated including, HMG-CoA, Bcl-2, Mcl-1, VEGFR-2. Results showed that exhibited significant antilymphoma cytotoxic activities, its effects were comparable MTX. In addition, could be mediated by induction late apoptosis necrosis. result acute classified category 4, suggesting it is low risk. Finally, coupling studies had more affinity enzymes HMG-CoA reductase Bcl-2. Our provides evidences potential agent histiocytic lymphoma.
