The global coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak forced a shift from face-to-face education to online learning in higher settings around the world. From outset, COVID-19 (CoOL) has differed conventional due limited time that students, instructors, and institutions had adapt platform. Such rapid transition of modes may have affected effectiveness, which is yet be investigated. Thus, identifying predictive factors effectiveness crucial for improvement CoOL. In this study, we assess significance university support, student–student dialogue, instructor–student course design measured by perceived outcomes, student initiative, satisfaction. A total 409 students completed our survey. Our findings indicated dialogue were outcomes whereas was determinant initiative. University support no significant relationship with either or terms both initiative determined results identified design, key CoOL determine ultimate success
