As traditional fossil fuel energy development faces significant challenges, two-dimensional layered materials have become increasingly popular in various fields and generated widespread research interest. MXene is an exceptional catalytic material that typically integrated into functional composite with other substances to enhance its catalytic-reaction performance. Improving the thermal stability, electrical conductivity, electrochemical activity, as well enhancing specific surface structure, can make excellent catalyst for photoelectrocatalysis energy-regeneration reactions. The article mainly outlines structural characteristics, preparation methods, applications of field catalysis. This text highlights latest progress performance comparison MXene-based such conversion, photocatalysis, renewable energy, storage, carbon capture conversion. It also proposes future prospects discusses current bottlenecks challenges materials.

One of the most important issues in maritime industry is controlling and reducing amount emissions caused by marine vessels. In this respect, International Maritime Organization sets some air pollution-related regulations encourages companies to utilise current innovative emission abatement methods on their ships. The application these approaches ships not only provides environmental benefits but also creates additional financial costs for company. study, operational data a container ship has been acquired examined. Methods such as ammonia, LNG, scrubber, low sulphur fuel use, selective catalytic reduction have considered determine appropriate approach. Nine different scenarios created with use stated each scenario analysed both environmentally economically compared other. Finally, suitable determined calculating payback period investment. Since there relatively longer redemption, using dual-fuel engine could be more long-lasting newly built For currently cruising ships, scrubber systems an effective solution reduce number emissions.

This study conducts a comparative techno-economic assessment on the value chains of ammonia, as green energy vector, and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), representing benchmark for long-distance transportation from Middle East to Europe. The chain involves production resources, conversion an storage transport reconversion vector suitable fuel. For comparison purposes, electric power output 400 MW is assumed be produced by plant that utilizes either or fossil fuels delivered it. adopted parameter this Levelized Cost Energy (LCoE). Greenhouse gas emissions are economically penalized through Social Carbon (SCC). Considering SCC 0.100 €/kg, LCoE LNG 59.19 €/MWh, while ammonia 231.71 €/MWh. Since cost producing hydrogen purified natural strongly affects results, sensitivity analysis performed assess impact values. required break even two is: 0.183 €/MWh when considering most favorable scenario (low high costs) 1.731 €/kg unfavorable one. highlights cost-effectiveness in current economic regulatory landscape. However, break-even range indicates potential gain viability under higher carbon pricing scenarios.
