The pressing need to reduce carbon emissions calls for adoption sustainable fuels (SAFs) as a feasible alternative, particularly in absence widespread hydrogen usage. ABSTRACT n ‐Dodecane, a key component in diesel and aviation fuel, is commonly used to simulate real‐world fuels (Jet‐A Chinese RP‐3). Since existing ‐dodecane kinetic mechanisms may not fully address the complexities of aromatics formation during combustion, this study proposes mechanism that only extends capability predicting 16 light‐weight but also provides compact size with improved accuracy combustion characteristics. Using two‐step reduction method involving path flux analysis (PFA) artificial neural network (ANN) without tuning parameters, newly constructed consisting 155 species 827 reactions coupled 2‐D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model laminar diffusion flame well reproduces experimentally measured centerline profiles temperature, soot volume fraction methane doped ‐dodecane. From results obtained by CFD, we investigate effect on spatial distributions reaction pathways, which have been analyzed previous literature.
