Gallic acid (GA), a phenolic found in fruits and vegetables, has been consumed by humans for centuries. Its extensive health benefits, such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antiviral properties, have well-documented. GA's potent antioxidant capabilities enable it to neutralize free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, protect cells from damage. Additionally, GA exerts anti-inflammatory effects inhibiting inflammatory cytokines enzymes, making potential therapeutic agent diseases. It also demonstrates anticancer properties cancer cell growth promoting apoptosis. Furthermore, offers cardiovascular lowering blood pressure, decreasing cholesterol, enhancing endothelial function, which may aid the prevention management of This review covers chemical structure, sources, identification quantification methods, biological GA, along with its applications food. As research progresses, future appears promising, uses functional foods, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals aimed at improving overall preventing disease. However, ongoing innovation are necessary fully understand address current challenges, establish mainstay nutritional interventions.

This review highlights the recent advancements in extraction techniques for bioactive compounds from natural sources, focusing on methodologies that enhance both efficiency and sustainability. Techniques such as pressurized hot water (PHWE), solid-state fermentation (SSF), ionic liquids (ILs), electrohydrodynamic (EHD) methods have shown significant potential improving yields while preserving bioactivity of target compounds. These innovative approaches offer advantages over traditional methods, including reduced energy consumption, minimal environmental impact, ability to extract thermosensitive PHWE EHD are particularly effective extracting antioxidants compounds, whereas SSF provides an environmentally friendly alternative by valorizing agro-industrial waste. Ionic liquids, although promising complex phytochemicals, face challenges related scalability economic feasibility. The adoption these advanced represents a shift toward more sustainable cost-effective processes, promoting discovery utilization high-value also contribute development eco-friendly, strategies align with green chemistry principles regulatory standards. However, further research technological required address existing limitations ensure widespread application industrial pharmaceutical sectors.

Maximizing the yield of bioactive molecules extracted from plant materials requires investigation extraction process variables; therefore, in this research, a traditional aqueous solid–liquid method was employed on two distinct grape pomace skin samples. The represents potentially valuable source biologically active compounds, particularly polyphenols. Experiment 1 utilized ground skin, whereas experiment 2 that had been both dried and beforehand. Employing Box–Benkhen experimental design response surface modeling Statistica 14.0 software package, study evaluated impact temperature, time, solid-to-liquid ratio (S/L), mixing speed efficiency. compounds were assessed for physical properties (conductivity, total dissolved solids, pH) chemical (total polyphenol content antioxidant activity using 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) ferric reducing power (FRAP) assays). optimization matrix identified specific conditions required to achieve optimal extract as follows: (i) 1, time (t) = 15 min, temperature (T) 80 °C, (S/L) 10 g/L, (rpm) 500 1/min (ii) 2, 375 1/min. Under conditions, 26.1284 mgGAE/gd.m. 25.1024 mgGAE/gd.m., respectively, obtained. These findings demonstrate effectiveness identifying precise extracts.

Enhancing the efficacy of biofertilizers and biopesticides for horticultural applications presents numerous challenges, given need to balance effectiveness with environmental economic factors. Achieving these goals requires rigorous research into advanced technologies formulations capable effectively replacing or complementing traditional chemical inputs, without compromising crop yield quality. The present study aimed develop a versatile yet accessible hybrid percolation–sonication system method, designed optimize polyphenol extraction from nettle sage plants. resulting extracts were combined applied on organic tomato crops, evaluate their biofertilizer biopesticide effectiveness, in comparison conventional inputs. Operating equipment led 36% increase polyphenols 29% sage. Regarding effect tomatoes, data showed that plants treated over 42.88% more productive than control samples 17.67% tomatoes fertilizers. Tomato grew approximately 10% taller developed stems 5% thicker compared those
