The fluorenyl methyl oxycarbonyl phenylalanyl-phenylalanine ester (Fmoc-Phe-Phe-Ome) was synthetized using the liquid phase synthesis strategy. This derivative separated by hydrophobic interaction chromatography, its purity analyzed RP-HPLC and it characterized mass spectrometry. extremely peptide conjugate incorporated into aqueous solutions of Pluronic® F127 at low temperatures (below 10 °C). temperature induced sol-gel transition investigated rheological measurements. A delay transition, caused presence concentrations Fmoc-Phe-Phe-Ome (up to 1%), enables better control gelation process. viscoelastic properties hybrid networks were 37 °C in different shear conditions. Pluronic/peptide systems reported herein provide promising alternatives for developing innovative injectable gels as suitable platforms cancer treatment.

Cosmetic formulations are complex mixtures of ingredients that must fulfill several requirements. One the challenges cosmetic industry is to find natural alternatives replace synthetic polymers, preserving desirable sensory characteristics. The aim this work induce formation gels, by replacing polymers with a low-molecular-weight gelator (LMWG), small molecule able self-assemble and form supramolecular networks. impact gelators on environment reduced as they highly biodegradable. Thus, behavior solutions containing Boc-L-Dopa(Bn)2-OH, an LMWG, together ten different anionic surfactants, was studied understand if LMWG may act rheological modifier increasing viscosity formulation or forming gels these ingredients. An amphoteric surfactant, cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB), often used increase cleansing gentleness, also added better mimic formulation. In most cases, addition at only 1% w/v concentration induces gelification in solutions, thus showing mixtures.
