Abstract Background: Nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI), which pertains to self-induced actions that cause harm the body, comprises repetitive, intentional, and direct do not adhere social norms expectations. The present study aimed predict NSSI by sleep disorders (poor quality, insomnia severity, risk of apnea, circadian rhythms) utilizing a neural network model Methods: Using multi-stage cluster sampling, group 400 health-care personnel (70% female, aged 32.5 ± 8.8 years) from western region Iran was selected. subjects completed Inventory Statements about Self-Injury, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Berlin Questionnaire, Insomnia Severity Munich Chronotype Questionnaire. receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used examine association between Results: use architecture resulted in discovery single hidden layer containing three units. Both training testing models predicted more than 85% cases with correctly. results area under ROC completely acceptable (0.834). findings suggest severity (0.418) poor quality (0.333) serve as potent indicators associated both subgroups, normalized importance values ranging 80% 100% Conclusion: algorithm can be effectively employed predicting several disorders. BACKGROUND Nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) is regarded as the gateway behavior of suicide. This situation has been identified a critical public health concern that requires immediate attention. OBJECTIVE study aimed to explore associations mobile phone use before bedtime and getting up with NSSI among Chinese college students. METHODS A multistage random cluster sampling survey were conducted from six universities in Shaanxi province, found Northwest China, during October November 2022, total 18,585 students included for final analyses. Four different logistic models used analyze links between usage behaviors past month, restricted cubic splines regression estimate dose-response relationship pre-sleep after-sleep odds NSSI. RESULTS The proportions participants exhibiting 3.8% month. Prolonged more than two hours was associated an increased risk month (odds ratio [OR], 1.74; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.38-2.20). While does not significantly affect No significant gender differences these observed. Restricted Cubic Spline (RCS) model results shows P non-linear association time >0.05. CONCLUSIONS sleep Early intervention strategies at regulating night should be implemented mitigate

Introduction: Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) among adolescents is a prevalent issue in Indonesia. Comprehensive understanding of NSSI essential for uncovering the factors that trigger and predispose to such behavior. Methods: The employed cross-sectional approach conducted between October December 2023, with 570 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Socio-demographic, precipitating, predisposing were measured using checklist sheet. Self-Harm Inventory (SHI) instrument was utilized assess NSSI. Background: From a psychological perspective, aggressive behavior, non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal behavior could be considered dysfunctional coping strategies. Poor sleep patterns may further increase such coping. In contrast, regular physical activity have the power to counteract Given this background, aim of present study was combine categories circadian rhythms as proxy normative patterns, associate these with among larger sample adolescents young adults, aged 15 34 years. Method: A total 2991 (55.6% females) individuals years so-called Ravansar non-communicable disease cohort (RaNCD) took part in study. Participants completed self-rating questionnaires covering circadian-related activity, socio-demographic information dimensions aggression, behavior. Results: first step, both (circadian rhythm disorder: yes vs. no) (high low) were dichotomized. Next, participants assigned one four prototypical clusters: No disorders high (“Hi-Sleep-Hi-PA”); no low (“Hi-Sleep-Lo-PA”); (“Lo-Sleep-Hi-PA”); (“Lo-Sleep-Lo-PA”). Projecting clusters on following findings observed: “Hi-Sleep-Hi-PA” reported lowest scores for compared “Lo-Sleep-Lo-PA” cluster. differences observed “Hi-Sleep-Lo-PA” “Lo-Sleep-Hi-PA” clusters. Abstract Objective Non-suicidal self-injurious (NSSI) behaviors pose a significant threat to the physical and psychological well-being of adolescents. This study investigated addictive nature NSSI their association with impulsivity decision-making, aiming provide evidence-based insights for development multiple effective treatment interventions adolescents depressive disorders exhibiting characteristics in behaviors. Methods A total 126 adolescent outpatients inpatients diagnosed disorder according Diagnostic Statistical Manual Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) criteria were selected categorized into three groups: depression without ( n = 42), 44), 40). The present employed Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-24), Chinese Revised Barratt Impulsiveness Version 11 (BIS-11), Ottawa Self-Injury Inventory (OSI), Adolescent Non-Suicidal Questionnaire (ANSSIQ). Cognitive decision-making abilities assessed using Iowa Gambling Task (IGT). Results There no differences observed blocks 1 2 IGT among groups. However, group exhibited significantly lower net scores 3, 4, 5 compared both non-addictive group. positively correlated severity behaviors, depression, cognitive impulsiveness, negatively score IGT. In mediation model, played partial mediating role between impulsiveness behavioral addiction characteristics. Conclusion Adolescents demonstrate heightened exhibit poorer when presented choices. Abstract: Theoretical Background: Suicide is among the leading causes of death for young people and a major public health concern. While intervention programs targeting youth at risk seem promising, more research warranted to determine what works whom. The HEYLiFE universal school-based suicide prevention program aims promote three putative protective factors, namely, knowledge about mental health, agency, help-seeking intention in students aged 14 years older. its overall efficacy was confirmed previously, specific effects adolescents with different profiles remain be determined. Objective: We explored whether differed – 18 (mean age M= 16.2 years, SD = 1.2 years) low, medium, high suicidality. Method: A pre–post within-group comparison trial designed evaluate convenience sample 304 from five schools. data 218 (45.2 % female) completed sets were analyzed. Using two-step cluster analysis, we identified distinct at-risk clusters suicidality based on self-reported suicidality, depression, impulsivity/carelessness, avoidance. then applied mixed-model analysis covariance these clusters. Results: improved similar degree across all clusters, agency intentions low- medium-risk but not high-risk cluster. Efficacy time ranged small medium effects. Conclusion: Our results confirm that efficacious majority students. promotion factors viable strategy prevention, although efforts are specifically target individuals exhibiting greatest suicide.
