Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic adversely affected the mental health of healthcare workers. World Health Organization estimates a 25% increase in anxiety prevalence during pandemic. students across professions is less well understood. Objectives To better understand impact on professional students, cross-sectional analysis data collected enrollment cohort study was utilized to examine poor days association with lifestyle behaviors seven sciences colleges at large public Midwestern university first two years recruited 890 enrolled full- or part-time 2020 and/or 2021 using convenience sampling. Methods Participants completed questionnaires which included socio-demographic questions and items from U.S. Centers for Disease Control Prevention’s (CDC) Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) 2019 survey. Female sex (OR 1.70, 95% CI [1.21, 2.38]), Asian race 1.47, [1.06, 2.06]), adverse childhood events 2.01, 95 % [1.45-2.78]), frequent cannabis use = 2.03, [1.14-3.61]) were each associated an increased risk Exercise 0.64, [0.42-0.97]) found be protective factor, COVID-19. : BACKGROUND: The prevalence of smoking among students is a growing concern, particular-ly medical students. Being associated with stress, competitiveness, and various social in-fluences, can have detrimental effects on self-esteem self-efficacy may create vicious cycle that contribute to students’ well-being academic performance out-comes.METHODS: A cross-sectional study 456 was conducted via an online survey using structured questionnaires socio-demographic characteristics, habits, nicotine dependence, self-esteem, self-efficacy. RESULTS: 31.1% scores were positively correlated habits (W1=0.957, W2=0.975, P<0.05). Students presented rather low addiction male stu-dents having slightly higher than female self-efficacy, mili-tary had civilians physical activity posi-tive correlation non-smoking behavior.
