Background: The emergence of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), may manifest technology panic in some people, including adolescents who be particularly vulnerable to technologies (the use AI can lead dependence, which threaten mental health). While the relationship between dependence and health is a growing topic, few existing studies are mainly cross-sectional qualitative approaches, failing find longitudinal them. Based on framework this study aimed determine prevalence experiencing examine cross-lagged effects problems (anxiety/depression) explore mediating role motivations. Methods: A two-wave cohort program with 3843 (Male = 1848, M age 13.21 ± 2.55) was used panel model half-longitudinal mediation model. Results: 17.14% experienced at T1, 24.19% T2. Purpose: Previous studies focusing on the relationship between adolescents' screen time and mental health have uncovered contradictory results. By smartphone use content (SUC), this study uses specification curve analysis to explore different effects of SUCs health-based longitudinal data. Methods: A total 2552 adolescents were surveyed in first (July 2020) second year (April 2021). 2049 eligible participants (average age = 14.39 ± 2.27, female 1062) are included analysis. Participants reported 20 types used by them during their (depression, anxiety, somatization). Specification was examine health. Results: Smartphone for listening music (median β 0.18, p < 0.001, NSRPD 25/27, 0.05), chatting online 0.15, 24/27, watching TV 0.14, playing games 0.09, 19/27, 0.05) produce high medium negative subsequent Only using smartphones courses exerts no effect 0.01, > 0.05, 0/27, 0.05). Conclusions: This enlightens researchers policymakers update understanding technology use, especially adopt a differentiated attitude towards media content. As nutritionists often do, "nutritionally balanced" digital diet young people should be recommended public, rather than just suggesting limits amount they can spend media.

Although many peers socialize online, there is evidence that adolescents who spend too much time online are lonely, depressed, and anxious. This study incorporates habitual smartphone use as a new way of measuring engagement, based on the shortcomings simply ‘hours spent online’. Drawing large 2-year longitudinal study, current research aims to investigate association between peer attachment among Canadian adolescents. A whole-school approach combined with convenience sampling method was used select our sample. total 1303 high school students (Grades 8–12; mage = 14.51 years, SD 1.17 years; 50.3% females) completed both waves data collection were included in this study. random intercept latent transition analysis (RI-LTA) utilized assess (absent-minded subscale Smartphone Usage Questionnaire) probabilities profiles (Inventory Parent Peer Attachment), after adjusting for age, gender, ethnicity, stress, family attachment, connectedness, social goals. Three identified: (Profile 1: weak communication some alienation; Profile 2: strong communication, trust, 3: okay alienation). Results multivariable RI-LTA indicated increased significantly associated heightened probability transitioning from 2 at Wave 1 (odds ratio (OR) 1.21, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.003–1.46). Findings indicate more habituated their phones may become less attached over time. offers insights caregivers focus management discussing engagement strengthen peers.

Abstract Background Regular physical activity (PA) has been proven to help prevent non-communicable diseases and is beneficial for disease management in chronically ill populations. Physical inactivity recreational screen-based media (SBM) use are related poor health outcomes common among youth. This study aimed (1) investigate PA levels SBM of adolescents with JIA over time (2) compare these behaviours those their peers. Methods Data from patients peers enrolled the inception cohort ICON at 11 German centers were analyzed. Individuals aged 13 followed prospectively questionnaires concerning level, use, health-related quality life (HRQoL) a two-year interval. Group by interactions analyzed using linear mixed models. Results 214 (mean age first documentation 14.4 ± 0.9 years, female 63%) 141 could be considered. At documentation, less physically active compared ( p < 0.001). In contrast peers, patients’ increased (OR 3.69; 95% CI: 1.01–13.50, = 0.048). Mean screen did not differ significantly between (first documentation: 3.5 h vs. 3.0 h, 0.556; follow-up: 3.6 3.3 0. 969). During observation period, male reported higher than patients, but also levels. While low socioeconomic status (SES) 14.40; 95%-CI: 2.84–73.15) cJADAS-10 score 1.31; 1.03–1.66) likelihood high (≥ 4.5 h/d), PedsQL psychosocial 0.93; 0.88–0.99) was associated decreased likelihood. Conclusions Adolescents become more course achieve comparable However, vast majority appear insufficiently active. Future interventions promote healthy lifestyles should include gender SES as important determinants reach most vulnerable groups.

Methods We recruited a total 2,573 participants from 14 schools Shanghai two-stage sampling method. derived data participant's most recent medical examination data, including systolic (SBP) diastolic (DBP). measured modified Classification Scale. also assessed demographic characteristics, body mass index, behavioral variables, physiological characteristics. Results High school students had higher scores than primary middle on dimension information collection was associated positively with both SBP DBP among students, β (95% CI) values 0.282 (0.018, 0.546) 0.229 (0.031, 0.427). Meanwhile, relationship social network value 0.390 (0.062, 0.717). development high BP, OR 1.072 (1.011, 1.137) Conclusions might be potential correlate school-age adolescents.
