Urban green space (UGS) is crucial in providing ecosystem services and optimizing the health of urban residents. This study aimed at identifying suitable sites for UGS development using geospatial techniques Addis Ababa City. In present study, an analytical hierarchical process with Geographic Information Systems based multi-criteria evaluation was used development. Eight parameters namely land use cover types, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, population density, soil slope, elevation, road rivers were used. Results show that about 1 km2 (0.2%) 67.4 (12.8%) are categorized as highly moderately UGS, respectively. About 247.2 (46.9%) area marginally 205.2 km2(38.9%) currently not suitable, while 6.2 km2(1.2%) permanently suitable. The support policy makers to identify importance open environmental quality life center.

National parks in China play a vital role preserving biodiversity, protecting endangered species, maintaining ecological balance, and promoting sustainable development amid global biodiversity decline. Boundary delimitation functional zoning within these are crucial for ecosystem integrity species diversity. In the case study of Kunlun Mountains Park (KMNP, Qinghai section), an extensive wildlife background survey yielded 4,523 occurrence records (3,921 after optimization) 16 nationally protected species. Using niche model, this aimed to explore boundary range, zoning, protection gap areas KMNP by simulating suitable spatial distribution taking into account their statuses. The findings indicated that primary habitat key mainly occupied meadow steppe terms vegetation types, along with grassland unused land use average annual precipitation from 200 mm 400 mm, elevations ranging 4,100 m 4,700 m, temperatures −4.5℃ −2℃. different area showed variations, concentrated southwestern, central, southeastern regions. optimized covered around 49,800 km2, 16.3 % reduction selected area, core zone at 16,300 km2 general control 33,200 km2. suitability 93.75 (15/16) was higher comparing Mangya-Golmud-Dulan indicating were highly rational. range method developed provide scientific foundation KMNP's conservation management, valuable guidance national park construction, preservation, conservation, promotion species' reproduction survival on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, promising future applications.

Abstract Discovered in 2004, carbon dots have garnered a major attention due to their unique optical properties, nanoscale size, and cost-effectiveness. Their potential uses are applicable for bioimaging, electronics, the food industry. Carbon promising tools detecting contaminants, identifying harmful bacteria, monitoring essential nutrients. Here, we review safety risks associated with applying industry, focusing on integration into global frameworks. We highlight recent advancements detection capabilities of dots, showcasing sensitivity specificity foodborne pathogens contaminants. discuss strategies mitigate health risks, such as optimizing dot synthesis minimize toxicity ensuring thorough regulatory assessments. Current research shows that improve safety, but is needed address concerns ensure consumer confidence.

Forests are an important part of natural resources and play role in carbon sinks. We measured sinks provincial forest parks using data from four inventory surveys China the stock expansion method. Carbon emissions tourism were also estimated energy statistics park data. On this basis, spatial analysis was used to summarize temporal evolution balance influencing factors. The results show following: (1) With passage time, all provinces have increased different degrees, national 1,071,390.231 (million tons) 2003 286,255,829.7 2018; spatially, distribution is uneven, with overall high south low north, a east west. (2) sink showed trend gradual growth spatially formed pattern northeast southwest, which consistent China. (3) For emissions, total number tourists, income, playing roads significant factors, baseline regression coefficients 0.595, 0.433, 0.799, respectively, while for sinks, employees can certain positive coefficient being 1.533.

The direct effects of relative humidity and soil on aboveground biomass (AGB) versus the indirect mediated by stand structural diversity remain unclear in forest ecosystems across large-scale elevation gradients. Forest inventory data containing 15,260 individual trees 104 tree species from 200 plots were collected. result shows that humidity, elevation, Coefficient Variation Diameter at breast height (CVD) significantly influence AGB Tropical Thorn (TTF). Regarding CVD was positive significant, SR negatively impacted sub-tropical broad-leaved forests (STBLF). In moist temperate mixed (MTMF), phosphorus have a significant impact, while AGB. Elevation positive, negative insignificant effect Dry Temperate Conifer Forests (DTCF). Soil positively affected (β = 0.021), CVD, affect dry temperate, pure pine (DTPPF). Relative multi-species forests. current study suggests primarily depends phosphorus, different types.
