Abstract Background and Purpose Plaque composition, but not stenosis degree, may play a key role in the development of recurrent ischemic events patients with symptomatic, mild (<50%) carotid stenosis. This multi-center prospective cohort study was aimed to determine their clinical radiological features evaluate benefits endarterectomy (CEA) for them. Methods included 124 cerebrovascular or retinal ipsilateral Best medical therapy (BMT) administered all participants. CEA artery stenting (CAS) implemented at each institution’s discretion. Baseline 6-, 12-, 24-month follow-up data were collected. Primary endpoint stroke. Secondary endpoints any stroke, TIA, ocular symptoms, death, plaque progression requiring CEA/CAS. Abstract Objective : The aim of this article is to determine the predictive value leukocyte-glycemic index in long-term evolution diabetic patients with peripheral arterial disease following endovascular treatment. Methods This retrospective observational study enrolled 127 diagnosed requiring Patients were categorized into two groups based on severity infrapopliteal atherosclerotic lesions identified during pre-operative Computer Tomography Angiography examination. Group 1 includes without severe damage artery, while 2 artery damage, by stenosis greater than 70% all arteries. primary outcome was assess association between at baseline and major amputation after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty. Results had a higher incidence cardiovascular events (p=0.009), stage IV Leriche-Fontaine (p=0.016), (p<0.001), as well an increased (p=0.004). During follow-up, above-median have risk (p=0.034), seen Kaplan-Meier analysis. Moreover, cox-regression, elevated biomarker values associated amputation, independent age, sex, factors, below-the-knee occlusion (HR:2.69, p=0.001). Conclusions Elevated are long term.

Objective: In Lithuania, no comprehensive national research on statin utilization and trends has yet been undertaken. Nonetheless, this knowledge is critical for the healthcare system to identify key areas development. We aimed analyze in Lithuania from past 12 years considering changes reimbursement policies publication of updated international CVD prevention guidelines. Methods: performed a retrospective, descriptive study 2010 2021. The data were obtained PharmaZOOM LT, an independent software supplier with nationwide coverage pharmaceutical market data. was 95%. used anatomical therapeutic chemical (ATC) classification extraction calculated defined daily doses (DDDs) according ATC/DDD Toolkit World Health Organization dose pill. Results: Statin use increased overall 8.28 DDD/TID 96.06 annual growth rate sales 22.28%. increase mostly due moderate- high-intensity statins. increases coincided policy or Polypill began steadily increasing after 2016 reached 19.37% total statins Conclusions: dramatically over last decade. Changes regulations country, as well worldwide cardiovascular preventive recommendations aiming at lower LDL-C objectives, fueled progress.

Abstract Introduction: Severe ischemia occurring in the lower limbs represents advanced stage of peripheral artery disease (PAD). Atherosclerosis and inflammatory markers have been intensively studied to identify prognostic tools with a role evolution patients PAD. The aim this study is demonstrate predictive value systemic such as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) inflammation index (SII) prognosis diagnosed critical leg (CLI) undergoing infrainguinal surgical revascularization remote endarterectomy. Materials methods: This retrospective included all admitted Vascular Surgery Clinic County Emergency Clinical Hospital Târgu Mureș, Romania between January 2018 December 2021, who had limb Leriche-Fontaine III were treated Patients divided into two groups based on presence or absence patency at 12 months. Results: There was higher baseline neutrophil count (p <0.0001), platelet = 0.006), NLR SII well lymphocyte 0.001) group without ROC curve analysis showed that associated risk major amputation primary failure months, while multivariate has shown arterial hypertension (OR 3.63, p 0.04), history myocardial infarction 2.93, 0.009), diabetes mellitus 2.20; 0.04) smoking 3.48, <0.0001) also predictors failure.
