Abstract Research highlights the critical role of physical activity for older adults, who generally understand its importance health maintenance. However, influence interpersonal relationships on requires further exploration. This study aimed to retrospectively examine adults’ perceptions their across four life stages (i.e., early life, young adulthood, middle and adulthood) assess how impacted exercise at each stage. Nineteen adults (8 men, 11 women) aged 60 older, reported engaging in least 30 min one seven times per week, participated this study. Data were collected through online surveys in-depth interviews. Background Social capital, as a multidimensional social science concept, plays crucial role in promoting physical activity. Despite numerous studies exploring the relationship between capital and activity, there is still lack of systematic understanding how different dimensions influence activity levels. This study aims to systematically review literature up 2024 on uncover identify its impacts. Methods We used combination search terms including “social capital” “physical activity” Web Science, PubMed, Scopus, SportDiscus, PsychINFO databases for English published March 1, 2024. Results identified 2,021 unique articles reviewed 115 that met our inclusion criteria. Abstract Physical activity (PA) is essential for maintaining health and well-being, reducing the risk of chronic diseases mortality.
