Obesity in women is a significant public health issue with serious implications for cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease. This complex challenge influenced by physiological, hormonal, socioeconomic, cultural factors. Women face unique weight management challenges due to hormonal changes during pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, which affect fat distribution increase risk. Current clinical guidelines often overlook these sex-specific factors, potentially limiting the effectiveness of obesity strategies women. review explores aspects obesity’s pathophysiology, epidemiological trends, associated comorbidities, focusing on metabolic complications. synthesizes literature women, emphasizing factors influencing its development progression. It examines limitations body mass index as an measure alternative classification methods. Additionally it investigates relationship between comorbidities such diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, focus postmenopausal linked increased risks Hormonal fluctuations throughout life contribute gain patterns specific increasing disease Effective must account variations. Postmenopausal are particularly affected obesity-related Lifestyle interventions, pharmacotherapy, bariatric surgery have shown efficacy management, though success rates vary. Addressing requires comprehensive approach that considers physiological life-stage challenges, sociocultural barriers. Integrating precision medicine emerging therapies offers potential more personalized effective interventions. Personalized consider women’s biological can enhance improve outcomes. ABSTRACT Background Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is the main chronic pain that affects face, and it associated with dietary changes due to dysfunction. However, there a scarcity of studies on its impact nutrition vice versa. Objectives To assess compare intake energy nutrients among TMD myalgia asymptomatic women evaluate data according reference intakes (DRI) World Health Organization (WHO) values. Methods In this analytical cross‐sectional study, 84 female subjects were evaluated diagnostic criteria (DC/TMD) allocated into two groups: group ( n = 16) 68). Participants assessed using three 24‐h recalls then analysed for energy, macro micronutrient content (Nutwin programme). The multiple source method programme was used estimate participants' usual intake. Usual also DRI WHO obtained SPSS 25.0 software. considered significant when p values ≤ 0.05. Results showed lowered cholesterol, sodium, omega‐3, omega‐6, folate, magnesium, selenium increased trans fat. higher prevalence inadequacy folate Conclusion Dietary inadequacies observed in both groups; however, significantly lower several nutrients. Long‐term assessment suggested accurately investigate relationship between nutrient deficiencies.

With the prevalence of obesity and overweight increasing at an alarming rate, more researchers are focused on identifying effective weight loss strategies. The ketogenic diet (KD), used as a treatment in epilepsy management for over 100 years, is additionally gaining popularity method. Although its efficacy well documented, areas where it may be beneficial to other dietary approaches need carefully examined. objective this paper identify potential benefits KD alternative strategies based comprehensive literature review. It has been shown that bioenergetically efficient than strategies, inter alia owing effect curtailing hunger, improving satiety decreasing appetite (influence hunger hormones sensation hunger), inducing faster initial (associated with lower glycogen levels reduced water retention), controlling glycaemia insulinemia (directly attributable low-carbohydrate nature indirectly described). These effects accompanied by improved insulin sensitivity, inflammation (through ketone bodies avoidance pro-inflammatory sugars), pharmacological control (the diet’s mechanisms similar those medication but without side effects), positive impacts psychological factors food addiction. Based authors’ review latest research, reasonable conclude that, due these many additional health benefits, advantageous diet-based This important hypothesis deserves further exploration, which could achieved including outcome measures future clinical trials, especially when comparing different diets equal caloric value.

This study aimed analyze the relationships between BMI, health perception, perception among Korean adolescents using data from 18th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey conducted in 2022 explore strategies for reducing adolescent rates. Methods: Data 50,427 participants were analyzed, including seven lifestyle factors (intake frequencies of water, milk, fruit, soft drinks, vegetables, breakfast, late-night snacks), responses one item each Results: Higher intake fruits, snacks lower BMI (p < 0.001). However, high school students, those water breakfast but higher drink snack exhibited an increasing trend BMI. Understanding the risks and effects of gestational weight gain (GWG) is a prominent area perinatal research but approaches for quantifying GWG are evolving remain underdeveloped, especially in clinical settings underserved demographic subgroups. To fill this gap, we demonstrated compared six metrics across pre-pregnancy BMI classifications: total GWG, trimester-specific linear rate adherence to recommendations, under curve, age z-scores. We used data on 44,801 pregnant people from community-based health care organizations with extensive longitudinal measures substantial representation understudied Total was lower individuals higher BMI; yet more temporally resolved analyses revealed differences change. Differences included common first trimester loss class II or III obesity underweight, greatest BMI-related variation occurring second trimester. These reflected varying degrees AUC z-score metrics. Our findings inform development guidelines within categories, subclasses selection, refinement, application future research. differ categories population consisting several subgroups: color, larger body sizes, incomes. ABSTRACT The role of the infrapatellar fat pad (IPFP) in knee osteoarthritis is not understood. This study aimed to identify relationships between MRI‐based signal abnormalities IPFP and measures structural pathology symptom severity PFJOA, as well investigate influence obesity sex on these relationships. Seventy participants (ages 28–80) with isolated PFJOA underwent bilateral MRI scan acquisitions completed Knee Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS). Objective This study aimed to explore the relationship between A Body Shape Index (ABSI) and depressive symptoms, evaluate moderating effects of sociodemographic, lifestyle, health factors. Methods We analyzed data from 19,659 participants in 2011–2018 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Depressive symptoms were assessed using Patient Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). ABSI was calculated waist circumference, height, BMI. Multiple linear regression models employed investigate association with subgroup analyses examine potential associations within specific populations. Results Higher significantly associated increased after adjusting for covariates including age, sex, race, marital status, poverty-income ratio, smoking, alcohol consumption, physical activity, diabetes, hypertension. Individuals highest quartile (Q4) had more compared those lowest (Q1) ( β = 0.22, 95% CI 0.02–0.41, p 0.0323). Subgroup revealed that status hypertension moderated symptoms. Conclusion provides first comprehensive analysis link suggesting higher is greater These findings highlight importance circumference abdominal fat distribution assessing depression risk.
