Colorectal cancer is a major health concern. It now the third most common and fourth leading cause of mortality worldwide. The aim this study was to evaluate performance machine learning algorithms for predicting survival colorectal patients 1 5 years after diagnosis, identify important variables.A sample 1236 diagnosed with 118 predictor variables has been used. outcome interest binary variable indicating whether patient survived number in question or not. 20 were selected using mutual information score outcome. Biomarkers in colorectal cancer (CRC) are of great interest the current literature due to improvements techniques such as liquid biopsy and next-generation sequencing (NGS). However, screening methods vary globally, with multi-target stool DNA (mt-sDNA) predominantly used USA and, more recently, Cologuard Plus; biomarkers Galectins family septins show promise early detection. Gut microbiome assessments, Fusobacterium nucleatum, under intense exploration. Diagnostic tests, circulating analysis via NGS, exhibit effectiveness being increasingly adopted. Circulating tumor cells emerge potential alternatives traditional terms diagnosis prognosis. This review critically explores actual dynamic landscape CRC future, promising involved screening, diagnosis,

Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common tumor that harms human health with high recurrence rate. It has been reported the expression of microRNA-539 (miR-539) low in several types cancer, including CRC. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α-induced protein 8 (TNFAIP8/TIPE) highly expressed CRC and promotes proliferation, migration angiogenesis However, relationship between miR-539 TIPE mechanisms by which they regulate proliferation remain to be explored. We aimed investigate functions proliferation. Functionally, can bind TIPE, activates SAPK/JNK downregulate glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) promote ferroptosis. Our data reveal novel role regulating ferroptosis via activation axis, providing new insight into mechanism abnormal potential therapeutic target for advanced

The global burden of colorectal cancer (CRC) is expected to increase, with 2.2 million new cases and 1.1 annual deaths by 2030. Therefore, the establishment novel biomarkers useful in early diagnosis CRC utmost importance. A number publications have documented significance overexpression several specific proteins, such as inflammatory mediators, progression. However, little known about potential utility these proteins circulating blood tumor CRC. present review we report results our previous original studies well findings other authors who investigated whether mediators might be used prognosis Our study revealed that among all tested serum M-CSF, CXCL-8, IL-6 TIMP-1 greatest value progression Serum differentiating between adenomas, whereas M-CSF CRP are independent prognostic factors for survival patients This confirms promising due their non-specific nature, further validation sensitivity specificity required.
