The gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in maintaining the dynamic balance of intestinal epithelial and immune cells, crucial for overall organ homeostasis. Dysfunctions these intricate relationships can lead to inflammation contribute pathogenesis various diseases. Recent findings uncovered existence gut–muscle axis, revealing how alterations disrupt regulatory mechanisms muscular adipose tissues, triggering immune-mediated inflammation. In context Duchenne dystrophy (DMD), permeability stand as potential origin molecules that could trigger muscle degeneration via pathways. Metabolites produced by bacteria, or fragments bacteria themselves, may have ability migrate from into bloodstream ultimately infiltrate distant exacerbating localized pathologies. These insights highlight alternative pathological pathways DMD beyond musculoskeletal system, paving way nutraceutical supplementation adjuvant therapy. Understanding complex interplay between microbiota, health offers new perspectives therapeutic interventions conventional approaches efficiently counteract multifaceted nature DMD.

Background and Aims Physical performance is a major contributor of mobility independence during older life. Despite progressive decline in musculoskeletal function starts from middle age, several factors acting the life-course can negatively influence functional capacities. Lifestyle interventions incorporating nutrition physical exercise help maximizing muscle capacities early life as well preserving them later Among various dietary compounds, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are gaining growing attention for their potential effects on membrane composition function. Indeed, pathways enhanced, such an attenuation pro-inflammatory oxidative stress, mitochondrial function, activation mammalian target rapamycin (mTOR) signaling reduction insulin resistance. Methods We performed narrative review to explore existing literature relationship between PUFAs across life-course. Results Growing evidence randomized controlled trials (RCTs) suggests beneficial including parameters mid On other hand, despite direct association not available literature, some mechanisms by which may contribute improved adult could be hypothesized. Conclusion Omega-3 positive effect parameters. The integration measures future studies would great interest whether starting extending throughout lifespan. Chromatin accessibility is a key factor influencing gene expression. We optimized the Omni-ATAC-seq protocol and used it together with RNA-seq to investigate cis-regulatory elements in rat white adipose skeletal muscle, two tissues contrasting metabolic functions. While promoter correlated RNA expression, integration of datasets identified tissue-specific differentially accessible regions (DARs) that predominantly localized intergenic intron regions. DARs were mapped expressed (DE) genes enriched distinct biological processes each tissue. Randomly selected DE validated by qPCR. Top motifs predicted binding sites for transcription factors (TFs) showing up-regulation. The correlation between differential chromatin at given TF motif expression target further supported functional relevance motif. Our study likely play major role regulation muscle.
