Aging, a fundamental physiological process influenced by innumerable biological and genetic pathways, is an important driving factor for several aging-associated disorders like diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's Parkinson's diseases. In the modern era, mechanisms associated with aging have been deeply studied. Major depressive disorder (MDD) is an incapacitating condition characterized by loss of interest, anhedonia and low mood, which affects almost 4% people worldwide. With rising prevalence, it considered a public health issue that economic productivity heavily increases costs alone or as comorbidity for other pandemic non-communicable diseases (such obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, inflammatory bowel diseases, etc.). What even more noteworthy the double number women suffering from MDD compared to men. In fact, this sex-related ratio has been contemplated since men have different sexual hormone oscillations, where meet significant changes depending on age range moment life (menstruation, premenstruation, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause…), seem be associated with susceptibility symptoms. For instance, decreased estrogen level promotes activation serotonin transporters. Nevertheless, hormones are not only triggers alter neurotransmission monoamines neuropeptides. Actually, dietary habits and/or nutritional requirements specific moments severely affect pathophysiology in women. context, present review aims descriptively collect information regarding role malnutrition onset course, focusing female patient especially macro- micronutrient deficiencies (amino acids, ω3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω3 PUFAs), folate, vitamin B12, D, minerals…), besides providing evidence future intervention programs sex-gender perspective hopefully improves mental quality

In recent years, there has been considerable research showing that coffee consumption seems to be beneficial human health, as it contains a mixture of different bioactive compounds such chlorogenic acids, caffeic acid, alkaloids, diterpenes and polyphenols. Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) are debilitating, non-curable associated with impaired central, peripheral muscle nervous systems. Several studies demonstrate neuroinflammation mediated by glial cells—such microglia astrocytes—is critical factor contributing neurodegeneration causes the dysfunction brain homeostasis, resulting in progressive loss structure, function, number neuronal cells. This happens over time leads damage physical impairment. The most known chronic NDs represented Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s (PD), multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral (ALS) Huntington’s (HD). According epidemiological studies, regular is lower risk neurodegenerative diseases. this review, we summarize latest about potential effects caffeine disorders prevention discuss role controlled delivery systems maintaining high plasma concentrations for an extended time.

Caffeine is a metabolite derived from purine nucleotides, typically accounting for 2–5% of the dry weight tea and 1–2% coffee. In coffee plants, main synthesis pathway caffeine four-step sequence consisting three methylation reactions one nucleosidase reaction using xanthine as precursor. bacteria, degradation occurs mainly through pathways N-demethylation C-8 oxidation. However, study fully systematically summarizing metabolism application in microorganisms has not been established elsewhere. present study, we provide review biosynthesis, microbial degradation, gene expression, degradation. The aims to further elaborate mechanism by explore development prospects this field.
