Frailty and delirium are two common geriatric syndromes sharing several clinical characteristics, risk factors, negative outcomes. Understanding their interdependency is crucial to identify shared mechanisms implement initiatives reduce the associated burden. This literature review summarizes scientific evidence on complex interplay between frailty delirium; clinical, epidemiological, pathophysiological commonalities; current knowledge gaps. We conducted a PubMed systematic search in June 2023, which yielded 118 eligible articles out of 991. Introduction Physical frailty is a common medical syndrome characterized by low muscle strength, endurance, and reduced physiological function that leads to significantly negative health outcomes in older adults. This study investigated the risk variables among rural adults Hunan Province, China, developed physical prediction model inform policymaking enhance their well-being. Methods was conducted from July 22 September 3, 2022. A total of 291 participants were recruited using stratified cluster random sampling five large villages Province. Frailty screening performed based on Fatigue, Resistance, Ambulation, Illnesses, Loss Weight (FRAIL) scale, Geriatric Depression Scale 15-item version (GDS-15), Falls Efficacy Scale-International (FES-I), Mini Nutrition Assessment-Short Form (MNA-SF). logistic regression analysis identify predictive factors for develop area under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC), sensitivity, specificity, Youden index. Results The prevalence Province 21.31% ( n = 62). Household income expenditure [odds ratio (OR): 1.826, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.142–2.918], exercise frequency (OR: 1.669, CI: 1.137–2.451), depressive symptoms 9.069, 3.497–23.516), fear falling 3.135, 1.689–5.818) identified as significant predictors individuals. AUC 0.860 (95% 0.805, 0.914). sensitivity specificity at optimal cutoff value 80.6 76.0%, respectively, with index 0.566. Conclusion constructed this demonstrated promise potential tool evaluating adults, which can contribute healthcare providers’ screenings high-risk populations. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to investigate the association between frailty and overall survival (OS) progression‐free (PFS) in women with endometrial cancer (EC). Frailty increasingly recognized as a significant predictor outcomes patients, yet its impact on among EC patients remains unclear. This systematic review meta‐analysis. PubMed, Embase, Web Science from database inception September 28, 2024 were searched for cohort studies evaluating relation patients. Inclusion criteria focused reporting hazard ratios (HRs) OS or PFS, comparing frail versus nonfrail A random‐effects model was applied. Eight involving 486,138 reported outcome OS, 4 them 378 also PFS. associated poor (HR: 1.78, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.56–2.03, p < 0.001) without heterogeneity ( I 2 = 0%). Sensitivity analyses confirmed stability association. Subgroup according mean age tools frailty, follow‐up duration, quality score showed consistent results subgroup difference: 0.35–0.98). Four indicated worse PFS 1.91, CI: 1.24–2.95, 0.003), no conclude that EC. Although these findings should be validated large prospective studies, meta‐analysis highlights possible role assessment risk stratification prognostic prediction No patient public contribution.

One of the most pressing challenges facing society today is rising prevalence physical and cognitive frailty. This geriatric condition makes older adults more vulnerable to disability, illness, a heightened risk mortality. In this scenario, Parkinson’s disease (PD) frailty, which share several common characteristics, are becoming increasingly prevalent worldwide, underscoring urgent need for innovative strategies. Nutraceuticals naturally occurring bioactive compounds contained in foods, offering health benefits over above essential nutrition. By examining literature from past decade, review highlights how nutraceuticals can act as complementary therapies, addressing key processes, such oxidative stress, inflammation, neuroprotection. Notably, antioxidant action appears particularly beneficial regard PD For instance, antioxidant-rich may mitigate damage linked levodopa therapy PD, potentially reducing side effects enhancing treatment sustainability. Similarly, amplify activity, muscle function, health, resilience, thereby proposes holistic approach integrating with exercise, pharmacotherapy, lifestyle adjustments. It promises transform management ARD, prolong life, improve quality life well-being people.
