Different species of fungi usually share many common pathways but they also have some unique metabolic (e.g. those for specialised metabolites). It is not clear how gene expression patterns significantly contribute to the creation diverse volatile compounds. Based on research most VOCs, functions different fungal compounds are mainly as follows: inhibitory or synergistic effects other microorganisms, promoting growth in plants inducing a defensive response crops, and participating material cycle affecting interactions between organisms ecosystem. Approximately three hundred VOCs been identified from fungi. According their chemical properties, major categories terpenoids, aromatic compounds, alcohols, alkanes, esters, aldehydes, ketones, heterocyclic The eight-carbon alcohol (1-octen-3-ol) one characteristic VOC. With the prohibition of many chemical pesticides due to their impact on health living resources, as well quality food, soil and water, it has become essential look for alternatives natural origin that promote sustainability. This study focuses antifungal activity Rosmarinus officinalis, Origanum majorana Citrus aurantium oils against Phytophthora palmivora Alternaria alternata. The six oil concentrations was tested in vitro by direct contact method. After a seven-day follow-up, results revealed significant effect oil, with total inhibition mycelial growth at concentration 1.5 μl/ml 3.33 alternata respectively. While officinalis showed less activity, MICs ranging from 6.66 μL/mL 12.5 μL/mL. These promising pave way vivo efficacy tests confirm its use more sustainable agricultural practices.

Abstract Paecilomyces is a ubiquitous cosmopolitan fungus. Recent reports have demonstrated that strains are efficient biocontrol agents for the management of plant pathogens in variety crops and tissues. This review covers methods based on use spp. pathogenic fungi oomycetes. showed high efficacies control various hosts under greenhouse conditions fields, demonstrating their actual applicability. The were especially wilts damping‐offs. antifungal mechanisms, including production non‐volatile compounds, VOCs, hydrolytic enzymes, competition space nutrients, induction disease resistance. Application spores resulted higher compared to application cell‐free culture filtrate. Despite interesting properties , some can cause keratitis humans, synthesize hazardous mycotoxin patulin, be fruit juice spoilage. To date, only P. variotii extract ZhiNengCong has been commercialized agricultural purposes. Collectively, further research regarding toxicity storage necessary confirm potential commercialization strains. Cyanobacteria are gaining significant importance as potential biocontrol agents against phytopathogenic fungi. We evaluated the inhibitory effects of a suspension Nostoc sp. BCAC 1226 on Penicillium sp., Phytophthora and Stemphylium in vitro using potato dextrose agar medium. On 7th day incubation, showed reduction colony area from 18.30 ± 1.68 to 8.55 0.74 cm2 (53.6% inhibition). Similarly, 17.64 1.46 8.90 0.36 (49.4% inhibition), 17.76 1.28 13.5 0.73 (23.7% The were more 14th day, with growth further reduced 4.9 0.40 (72.8% 5.54 0.32 (68.8% 8.71 0.31 (50.8% These results indicate antifungal activity suspension, highest observed followed by Future research should focus chemical characterization metabolites produced vivo evaluations economically important crops evaluate their practical efficiency under field conditions.
