Light and temperature sensing are important features of many organisms. may provide energy but also be used by non-photosynthetic organisms for orientation in the environment. Recent evidence suggests that plant fungal phytochrome phototropin serve dual functions as light sensors. Here we characterized LOV-domain blue-light receptor LreA Alternaria alternata show it predominantly contains FAD chromophore. Blue-light illumination induced ROS production followed protein agglomeration vitro. In vivo control activity. acts photoreceptor triggered temperature-shift gene expression. Both responses required conserved amino acid cysteine 421. We therefore propose mimics photoresponse, which could ancient function chromoprotein. Temperature-dependent expression with was distinct from response suggesting fine-tuned, photoreceptor-specific regulation.

One such regulator light. This study aimed to compare evaluate fatty acid profile fat quality indices lipids from mycelial mass Pleurotus eryngii under various light-emitting diode (LED) laser light irradiation regimes. To determine effect artificial on P. eryngii, an lighting system based LED matrices with wavelengths 470 nm (blue), 530 (green), 650 (red), as well argon gas a coherent visible source at 488 nm, was used. For all experimental variants, energy density surface samples set same, providing dose 240 mJ/cm2. Irradiation carried continuously. Twenty-seven acids were identified in studied samples, including nine saturated (SFAs), eight monounsaturated (MUFAs) ten polyunsaturated (PUFAs). control sample (without irradiation) contained lowest number (fourteen). With modes, decrease amount SFA formation new MUFA PUFA chain length C20-C24, which absent control, observed. Blue stimulated synthesis significant amounts α-linolenic (C18:3ω-3). ratios ΣPUFA/ΣSFA, ΣPUFA/ΣMUFA ΣPUFAω-6/ω-3 mycelium irradiated blue within optimal values human diet. selected photoactivation modes using low-intensity different spectral composition coherence may have potential biotechnology submerged cultivation obtain improved profile, can be considered useful lipids.

Carotenoids are a class of pigments with antioxidant properties synthesized by photosynthetic and heterotrophic organisms. Humans can store carotenoids in their intact form or cleave them enzymatically to apocarotenoids such as vitamin A, hormone-like nutrient crucial roles gene expression vision. Clinical preclinical studies suggest that the consumption diets rich attenuate cardiometabolic diseases, some types cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, inflammatory conditions. The bioactive depend, at least part, on accumulation target tissues. However, pathways drive carotenoid absorption, delivery, tissues remain largely uncharacterized. This review provides critical overview experimental models utilized monitor homeostasis mammals. We also delve into recent findings concerning intestinal uptake, bodily distribution, cellular intracellular trafficking. Finally, we discuss physiological relevance fecal elimination pathway operates independently enzymatic cleavage. Light plays vital roles in fungal growth, development, reproduction, and pigmentation. In Flammulina velutipes, the color of fruiting body exhibits distinct changes response to light; however, underlying molecular mechanisms remain unknown. Therefore, this study, we aimed analyze F. velutipes transcriptome under red, green, blue light-emitting diode (LED) lights identify key genes affecting light fungus. Additionally, conducted protein–protein interaction (PPI) network analysis previously reported color-related gene, Fvpal1, hub genes. Phenotypic revealed that bodies exposed green were darker than those untreated or red light, with intensifying more after 48 h exposure compared 24 exposure. Differentially expressed gene (DEG) analyses all treatments for numbers DEGs 17, 74, 257 lights, respectively. Subsequently, functional enrichment was identified which influenced velutipes. total, 103 168 downregulated included analysis. Among enriched both treatments, four related monooxygenases, three annotated as cytochrome P450s are crucial various metabolic processes fungi. In this study, white light as control examined the effects of red, green, blue on agronomic traits, antioxidant capabilities, composition S. edulis. The results showed that different monochromatic qualities affected color edulis pileus, with demonstrating particular efficacy. Furthermore, also regulated pileus length, whereas red was instrumental in significantly increasing stalk length. Regarding capacity, compared green light, activities POD, SOD, CAT were improved by irradiation, decreased MDA levels, free radical scavenging potential. Additionally, exposure led an increase contents 15 amino acids. Green treatment reduced crude fat content. For first time, we found quality key factor controlling Blue effective way regulate size improve properties. photobiological characteristics response environment clarified.
