In a long-term evolution, fungal endophytes have formed mutually beneficial relationship with host plants. Therefore, what roles do play in the growth and development of rice, one major food crops world, agricultural production? This mini-review aims to highlight diversity, identification, colonization, function, mechanism action endophytic fungi isolated from rice tissues through literature review; comprehensively expound interaction between their hosts stimulating plants alleviating biological abiotic stresses on plants; contribute new ideas for production sustainable industry. Additionally, endophytes, as resource, broad prospects biopesticides, biocontrol agents, medicine.
