The effect of UV-B radiation exposure on transgenerational plasticity, the phenomenon whereby parental environment influences both parent's and offspring's phenotype, is poorly understood. To investigate impact exposing successive generations rice plants to seed morphology proanthocyanidin content, local traditional variety 'Baijiaolaojing' was planted terraces in Yuanyang county subjected enhanced treatments. intensity that caused maximum phenotypic plasticity (7.5 kJ·m-2) selected for further study, crops were cultivated four generations. results show same generation, resulted significant decreases grain length, width, spike weight, thousand-grain as well increases empty percentage compared with grown under natural light conditions. Proanthocyanidin content increased number exposed increased, but generation G3, it decreased, along ratio. At time, biomass, tiller number, weight growth returned control levels. When memory did not match, negatively affected, maintain activity. correlation analysis phenylalanine ammonialyase (PAL), cinnamate-4-hydroxylase (C4H), dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR), 4-coumarate:CoA ligase (4CL) enzyme activity positively influenced content. Overall, affected showing able adapt this stressor if previous had been continuously treatment.

Growth of rice (Oryza sativa L.) is severely affected by drought stress, which leads to decreased production in rainfed ecosystems worldwide. Particularly, modern varieties are more susceptible stress rather than traditional varieties. In the present study, a short-term variety, ADT37, abundantly cultivated Cauvery delta region southern part India, was improved for grain yield introducing qDTY1.1 through conventional backcross method. Positive F1 progenies were identified using RM431 linked with PCR amplification. phenotypic selection, suitable plant height avoid linkage drag as well high degree tolerance manage selected and advanced backcrossing process up BC3 generation. Finally, two near isogenic lines equal recurrent parent selected. A positive effect on fertile seeds revealed. future, superior would be useful researchers farmers facing unexpected water crises. Moreover, morphological marker associated performance crops according intensity will support climate resilient agriculture.
