To address the problem of insufficient temperature and salt resistance existing polymer viscosity enhancers, we designed an organic–inorganic hybrid composite as a enhancer for water-based drilling fluids, named LAZ, it was prepared by combining water-soluble monomer lithium magnesium silicate (LMS) using intercalation polymerization method. The LAZ characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transformed target X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis. rheological properties were evaluated. used fluid enhancer, results showed that presented complex reticulation structure in aqueous solution. Drilling fluid is pivotal for efficient drilling. However, the gelation performance of drilling fluids influenced by various complex factors, and traditional methods are inefficient costly. Artificial intelligence numerical simulation technologies have become transformative tools in disciplines. This work reviews application four artificial techniques—expert systems, neural networks (ANNs), support vector machines (SVMs), genetic algorithms—and three techniques—computational dynamics (CFD) simulations, molecular (MD) Monte Carlo simulations—in design optimization. It analyzes current issues these studies, pointing out that challenges applying two to research include difficulties obtaining field data overly idealized model assumptions. From literature review, it can be estimated 52.0% papers related ANNs. Leakage primary concern practitioners studying performance, accounting over 17% this area. Based on this, conjunction with technical requirements development needs theory, directions proposed: (1) Emphasize feature engineering preprocessing explore potential interpretable intelligence. (2) Establish channels open access or large-scale oil gas databases. (3) Conduct in-depth focusing microscopic details spatial network structure fluids, reducing even eliminating dependence.

Solid-free drilling fluid has more advantages as a new type of compared with traditional fluid, such improving efficiency, protecting oil and not having clay particles clog the gas layer. In this study, Zn/Cu/Fe-doped magnesium-aluminum hydroxide (Mg-Al MMH) was prepared using co-precipitation method evaluated in solid-free fluid. The inhibition mechanism synthesized analyzed by X-ray diffraction, laser particle-size analysis thermogravimetric analysis. samples were directly used base muds for performance evaluation. results showed that linear expansion rate 4% M6-Fe only 12.32% at room temperature within 2 h, 20.28% 90 °C anti-swelling 81.16% temperature, indicating it strong ability both high temperatures. Throughout the world, construction industry produces significant amounts of by-products and hazardous waste materials. The steel-making generates welding dusts that are toxic to environment pose many economic challenges. Water-based drilling fluids (WBDF) able remove drill cuttings in a wellbore maintain stability prevent formation damage. To best our knowledge, this is first study reports application its derived graphene oxide (GO) as fluid-loss additive fluids. In research, GO was successfully synthesized from through chemical exfoliation. examination confirmed using XRD, FTIR, FESEM EDX analyses. waste-derived WBDF competent improving rheological properties by increasing plastic viscosity (PV), yield point (YP) gel strength (GS), while reducing filtrate loss (FL) mud cake thickness (MCT). This shows effect additives such waste, commercial GO, their amount, on WBDF. Concentrations these were used at 0.01 ppb, 0.1 ppb 0.5 ppb. Based experiment results, raw showed better performance compared with GO. Among filtration properties, FL MCT reduced 33.3% 39.7% addition welding-waste additive, for 26.7% 20.9%, respectively. By recycling industrial research conveys state-of-the-art low-cost aid management, reduce adverse environmental ramifications wastes.
