Saliva, which is a critical component of the oral ecosystem, undergoes dynamic changes, particularly during onset and progression periodontitis. This study used Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), reliable high-throughput tool for metabolomic analysis, to detect salivary metabolic shifts across various stages periodontitis (T1-T4). We compared differential changes in metabolites between HC T1 groups, T2 T3 T4 groups. By analysing saliva samples from 116 individuals-10 healthy controls (HC) 106 patients with (22 individuals) (28 individuals), we identified including Glucose, 3-Aminobutanoic Acid, N-(1-Cyclopropylethyl) Aniline, Methylmalonic Acid. Compared HC, exhibited progressive concentration correlating severity disease. Furthermore, KEGG pathway analysis was elucidate pathways involved development Our findings demonstrate potential as biomarkers monitoring offer valuable insights into its pathogenesis therapeutic targets.

Modern healthcare depends fundamentally on clinical biochemistry for disease diagnosis and therapeutic guidance. The discipline encounters operational constraints, including sampling inefficiencies, precision limitations, expansion difficulties. Recent advancements in established technologies, such as mass spectrometry the development of high-throughput screening point-of-care are revolutionizing industry. biosensor technology wearable monitors facilitate continuous health tracking, Artificial Intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) applications enhance analytical capabilities, generating predictive insights individualized treatment protocols. However, concerns regarding algorithmic bias, data privacy, lack transparency decision-making ("black box" models), over-reliance automated systems pose significant challenges that must be addressed responsible AI integration. limitations remain-substantial implementation expenses, system incompatibility issues, information security vulnerabilities intersect with ethical considerations fairness protected information. Addressing these demands coordinated efforts between clinicians, scientists, technical specialists. This review discusses current biochemistry, explicitly addressing reference intervals barriers to implementing innovative biomarkers medical settings. discussion evaluates how advanced technologies multidisciplinary collaboration can overcome constraints while identifying research priorities diagnostic accessibility better delivery.

Bovine mastitis is an inflammatory disease of the mammary glands, and its pathogenesis diagnosis are complicated. Through qualitative quantitative analysis small-molecule metabolites, metabolomics technique plays important role in finding biomarkers studying metabolic mechanism bovine mastitis. Therefore, this paper reviews predictive diagnostic that have been identified using techniques present samples such as milk, blood, urine, rumen fluid, feces, tissue. In addition, pathways mastitis-related milk blood were analyzed; it was found tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle most significant (FDR = 0.0015767) pathway glyoxylate dicarboxylate metabolism 0.0081994) blood. Background: Extra virgin olive oil is a fundamental component of the Mediterranean diet. It contains several molecules that sustain human well-being by modulating cellular metabolism and exerting antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-ageing effects to protect normal tissues, it can exert anti-angiogenic pro-apoptotic on cancer cells. Metabolites found in different parts tree, including leaves, also possess properties might help prevention promote wellness aging. Olive mill wastewater (OMWW), liquid residue produced during extraction, represents an environmental issue. However, rich phytochemicals with potential beneficial properties. Dietary supplements based OMWW be for nutritional supplementation advantages ecology. Purpose: This work aims measure hematochemical, anthropometric, metabolomic parameters volunteers taking dietary supplement, Oliphenolia® (OMWW-OL). Methods: The OMWW-OL 25 mL twice daily 30 days was tested pilot cohort characteristics close metabolic syndrome. Hematochemical, serum biomarkers were analyzed before intervention, at days, after stopping consumption. Results: A total 29 enrolled, 23 completed study. participants’ baseline measured, then treatment assumption discontinuation. Although derivative, their weight did not increase. Their body mass index, instead augmenting, slightly decreased, particularly women. Also, hydration increased, especially women, while blood pressure, glycemia, insulin decreased. Cholesterol, high-density lipoproteins, triglycerides stable, LDL levels vitamin D levels, alongside calcium, perceptibly increased. Albumin All values support equilibrium, no damaging effects. By spectrometry analysis, we favorable changes D/histamine homocysteine/methionine ratios, increase new metabolite unknown formula, D/unknown ratio. Conclusions: Supplementation has detrimental imply modulation biological parameters. this small study, limited potency, preliminarily suggests extract use could potentially valuable people risk Some these relevant supporting healthy ageing prevention.
