The formation of the human gut microbiome initiates in utero, and its maturation is established during first 2–3 years life. Numerous factors alter composition functions, including mode delivery, early onset breastfeeding, exposure to antibiotics chemicals, maternal stress, among others. microbiome–brain axis refers interconnection biological networks that allow bidirectional communication between brain, involving nervous, endocrine, immune systems. Evidence suggests metabolic byproducts are actively implicated regulation brain development. Any disturbance this stage may adversely affect resulting a variety neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). In present study, we reviewed recent evidence regarding impact on development, alongside correlation with significant NDDs, such as autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity Tourette syndrome, cerebral palsy, fetal alcohol disorders, genetic NDDs (Rett, Down, Angelman, Turner syndromes). Understanding changes provide new chances for their treatment future.

Various microbial communities reside in the gastrointestinal tract of humans and play an important role immunity, digestion, drug metabolism, intestinal integrity, protection from pathogens. Recent studies have revealed that gut microbiota (GM) is involved communication with brain, through a bidirectional network known as gut-brain axis. This involves humoral, immunological, endocrine, neural pathways. Gut dysbiosis negatively impacts these pathways, leading to neurological complications cognitive deficits. Both pre-clinical clinical demonstrated probiotics can restore healthy GM, reduce pH, inflammation pathogenic microbes gut. Additionally, improve cell-to-cell signaling increase blood-brain-derived neurotrophic factors. Probiotics emerge potential approach for preventing managing Despite promising findings, safety concerns possible risks probiotic usage must be closely monitored addressed. review article provides brief overview significance health.

Abstract The establishment of a healthy microbiota, particularly during infancy, profoundly influences psychological health and neurological function through the gut‐brain axis. This review delves into intricate connections between probiotics, gut microbiome development, their impact on disorders. Biotics, live microorganisms with proven benefits, have emerged as promising intervention, critical developmental stages. Administering specific probiotic strains ( Lactobacillus species Bifidobacterium ) in infancy has shown promise preventing alleviating disorders, implications for well‐being. bidirectional communication along axis underscores potential probiotics influencing outcomes, ranging from anxiety to neurodevelopmental Additionally, this explores emerging food engineering techniques (microencapsulation, genome editing, fermentation, protein engineering, immobilization, etc.) employed preparing probiotic‐based foods, ensuring viability targeted release gastrointestinal tract.

ABSTRACT Background Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most prevalent gastrointestinal (GI) disorders worldwide. Defined as a disorder gut‐brain interaction, its pathophysiology still not completely clear. Consequently, current treatments primarily target symptoms rather than addressing cause condition. The gut microbiome increasingly acknowledged central to IBS and, thus, may have therapeutic potential. Several national treatment guidelines recommend increasing physical activity for management. Aims This review summarises evidence about relationship between activity, symptoms, and microbiome, investigating hypothesis that activity's effects on be explained via modulation microbiome. Results revealed routine exercise was associated with 15%–66% reduction in symptom severity up 41% enhanced QoL participants, modulates healthy controls. Discussion generates favorably alter composition improve symptomology. While plausible hypothesis, research needs confirm whether involved relief. Conclusion Furthermore, establishment effective mode, duration, intensity each sex IBS‐subtype needed, patient input during this process crucial successfully translate science into practice.

Sleep disorders have become one of the most prevalent neuropsychiatric in recent years. This study aimed to investigate effects postbiotics derived from selected lactic acid bacteria on anhedonia and sleep chronic restraint stress (CRS)-induced mice, as well their potential mechanisms. Mice were orally administered normal saline, low, medium, or high doses for 30 days, with CRS applied days 1 21. The medium dose significantly increased sucrose preference index, duration. Postbiotic treatment effectively restored diversity composition gut microbiota levels comparable those observed vehicle (Veh) group. Furthermore, low reduced serum corticosterone levels, IL-1β levels. Additionally, administration glutamate GABA both prefrontal cortex hypothalamus, feces. These results indicate that alleviate CRS-induced a dose-dependent manner. effect may be mediated through restoration homeostasis MGB axis, HPA inflammation pathways, neurotransmitter balance.
