Previous studies have revealed the microbial metabolism of dietary choline in gut, leading to its conversion into trimethylamine (TMA). Polymethoxyflavones (PMFs), exemplified by tangeretin, shown efficacy mitigating choline-induced cardiovascular inflammation. However, specific mechanism which these compounds exert their effects, particularly modulating gut microbiota, remains uncertain. This investigation focused on a representative PMFs, explore influence microbiota and choline–TMA process. Experimental results showed that tangeretin treatment significantly attenuated population CutC–active bacteria, Clostridiaceae Lactobacillus, induced chloride rat models. inhibition led decreased efficiency TMA, thereby ameliorating inflammation resulting from prolonged consumption. In conclusion, tangeretin’s preventive effect against is intricately linked targeted modulation TMA–producing bacterial activity.

Szechwan lovage rhizome (SLR, the of Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort., Chuanxiong in Chinese transliteration) is one materia medica (CMM) commonly used to activate blood circulation and remove stasis. SLR applicable most stasis syndromes. It has significant clinical efficacy relation human diseases cardiocerebrovascular system, nervous respiratory digestive urinary etc. Apart from China, also Singapore, Malaysia, European Union, United States America. However, current chemical markers pharmacopeia or monography for quality assessment are not well characterized specifically characterized, nor do they fully reflect medicinal SLR, resulting being effectively controlled. CMM can only have when applied vivo an organism. The intensity their pharmaceutical activities more directly represent CMM. Therefore, constituents pharmacological actions reviewed this paper. In order demonstrate promoting removing stasis, bioassay methods put forward evaluate improve hemorheology, hemodynamics, vascular microcirculation, as its anti-platelet aggregation anticoagulation properties. Through comprehensive analyses these properties, therapeutic value ascertained.

Abstract This paper first analyzes the complexity of pathological processes involved in acute hemorrhagic or ischemic stroke, including primary and secondary brain injury manifestations mechanisms, potential transformations between hemorrhage infarction, impact postbrain inflammation on disease progression. Based decades extensive clinical pharmacological research usage Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) monomers formulas that promote blood circulation remove stasis (such as Angong Niuhuang Wan, Buyang Huanwu Tang, Dahuoluo Dushen Tang) for stroke treatment, it proposes tonifying qi, promoting circulation, removing stasis, detoxifying are rational treatment principles CHM. These correspond to following Western medical implications: qi corresponds neuroprotection effects, anticoagulation thrombolysis, addresses hematoma absorption cerebral edema reduction, anti-inflammatory actions. further from a systems perspective is complex requiring individualized CHM with timely modifications rather than one-size-fits-all approach. which have various effects such lowering pressure, hemostasis, anticoagulation, antiplatelet, anti-inflammatory, fibrinolysis, must align progression be applied within appropriate therapeutic time windows ensure efficacy safety. Finally, this suggests combined use acupuncture can potentially synergistically leverage their respective strengths. Additionally, shows clear benefits phase intracerebral (ICH), stimulating vagus nerve enhance flow, reducing inflammation, well triggering hemostatic effects. By applying these an integrated approach, better outcomes higher management may attained.

Rationale Childhood precocious puberty (CPP) is a common pediatric endocrine disorder with significant associated risks. Zhibai Dihuang pill (ZBDHP), classic recipe of the Qing dynasty its efficacy nourishing yin and clearing heat, can downregulate expression ESR1 in uterus ovaries, thereby inhibiting CPP. However, as now, main active ingredients pharmacological mechanisms ZBDHP remain unclear. Methods A comprehensive approach was proposed using ultra‐high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled quadrupole‐Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometry (UHPLC‐Q‐Exactive Orbitrap‐MS) network pharmacology to explore potentially constituents reveal underlying against Molecular docking used verify possible mechanisms. Results total 214 derived were identified via UHPLC‐Q‐Exactive Orbitrap‐MS, 12 them definitely characterized reference standards. Subsequently, compounds tetrahydropalmatine, alisol C, 25‐anhydroalisol 11‐acetate, hispidone, cavidine, E, melianone, neogitogenin, denudatin B, 16β‐hydroperoxyalisol B related targets PIK3CA, HSD11B1, CYP19A1, AR, PTGS2, CDK2, NR3C1, MMP2, MMP1, MAPK1 regarded key components for treating CPP compound–target–pathway network. Besides, results revealed that pathways conduced obviously therapeutic efficacy, including cancer, neuroactive ligand–receptor interaction, cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP) signaling pathways. indicated CYP19A1 exhibited high affinities corresponding compounds. Overall, study determined multicomponent, multitarget, multipathway Conclusions This provided new method exploring chemical mechanism traditional Chinese medicine.
