Background: Lutein is the primary macular pigment with an favorable effect on treatment of age-related degeneration (AMD). However, poor water solubility lutein hinders its absorption and delivery. In this study, a penetratin-modified nanoemulsion in-situ gel (GEL) was prepared for AMD.Methods: A (NE) modified penetratin (P-NE) to improve penetration. The evaluated by cell uptake intraocular distribution assays. dry AMD model induced using NaIO3, therapeutic electroretinography, number apoptosis cells reactive oxygen species (ROS) level. Results: showed good ability protect ARPE-19 from damage H2O2 rate P-NE significantly higher than NE. efficacy experiments, structure retina improved after treatment, decreased 31.98% 2.05%, level ROS (p < 0.0001).Conclusions: With aid penetratin, could be delivered effectively. GEL evidently inhibit ROS, demonstrating that has application prospect in AMD.

In recent years, although life expectancy has increased significantly, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) continue to pose a significant threat the health of global population. Therefore, eating habits have been recognized as key modifiable factors that influence people’s and well-being. For this reason, it is interesting study dietary patterns, since human diet complex mixture macronutrients, micronutrients, bioactive compounds, can modulate multiple physiological processes, including immune function, metabolism, inflammation. To ensure data we acquired were current relevant, searched primary secondary sources, scientific journals, bibliographic indexes, databases in last 15 years with most relevant articles. After search, observed all research on NCDs suggests critical factor shaping an individual’s outcomes. Thus, cardiovascular, metabolic, mental, dental, visual depends largely intake, nutritional behaviors. A high processed refined foods, added sugars, saturated fats increase risk developing chronic diseases. On other hand, rich whole, nutrient-dense such vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, adherence Mediterranean improve health’s people.

Increased consumer awareness for healthier and more sustainable products has driven the search naturally sourced compounds as substitutes chemically synthesized counterparts. Research on pigments of natural origin, such carotenoids, particularly lutein, been increasing over three decades. Lutein is recognized its antioxidant photoprotective activity. Its ability to cross blood-brain barrier allows it act at eye brain level linked benefits vision, cognitive function other conditions. While marigold flower positioned only crop from which lutein extracted commercialized, microalgae are proposed an alternative with several advantages this terrestrial crop. The main scaling up production commercial low productivity compared high costs. This review explores strategies enhance in by emphasizing overall content alone. Evaluation how culture parameters, light quality, nitrogen sufficiency, temperature even stress factors, affect biomass development batch phototrophic cultures was performed. Overall, total remains under metabolic regime due photosynthetic cultures. For reason, we describe findings microalgal grown different regimes protocols (fed-batch, pulse-feed, semi-batch, semi-continuous, continuous). After a careful literature examination, two-step heterotrophic or mixotrophic cultivation suggested surpass achieved single-step Furthermore, highlights urgent need develop technical feasibility studies pilot scale these strategies, will strengthen necessary techno-economic analyses drive their production.

Aging is considered the major risk factor for most chronic disorders. Oxidative stress and inflammation are two contributors cellular senescence, downregulation of response pathways with a decrease protective activity accumulation damage, leading in time to age-related diseases. This review investigated recent clinical trials cohort studies published last ten years, which presented influence tree nut peanut antioxidant diets preventing or delaying diseases middle-aged elderly subjects (≥55 years old). Tree ingestion has possibility blood lipid count, biochemical anthropometric parameters, endothelial function inflammatory biomarkers, thereby positively affecting cardiometabolic morbidity mortality, cancers, cognitive disorders, mainly through nuts’ healthy profile anti-inflammatory mechanisms actions. Clinical evidence scientific findings demonstrate importance characterized by high intake nuts emphasize their potential diseases, validating addition peanuts diet older adults. Therefore, increased consumption bioactive compounds from clearly impacts many factors related aging can extend health span lifespan.
