Abstract Background Chinese topography appears a three-rung ladder-like distribution of decreasing elevation from northwest to southeast, which is divided by two sloping edges. Previous studies have reported that prevalence thyroid diseases differed altitude, and geographical factors were associated with disorders. To explore the association between regions disorders according unique topographic features, we conducted an epidemiological cross-sectional study 2015–2017 covered all 31 mainland provinces. Methods A total 78,470 participants aged ≥ 18 years nationally representative included. Serum peroxidase antibody, thyroglobulin thyroid-stimulating hormone levels; urine iodine concentration; volume measured. The southeast in China was categorized into three groups elevation: first ladder, > 3000 m above sea level; second descending 3000—500 m; third 500 level. ladder further (500–100 m) B (< 100 m). Associations geographic assessed using linear binary logistic regression analyses. Results Participants group lower (β = -4.69; P 0.00), antibody levels -11.08; 0.01), largest 1.74; compared other groups. autoimmune thyroiditis (odds ratio 1.30, 95% confidence interval [1.18–1.43]) subclinical hypothyroidism 0.61, 95%confidence [0.57–0.66]) ( < 0.05) group. Group (third ladder) nodules 0.05). Furthermore, positively thyroiditis, positivity, negatively overt hypothyroidism, goiter group( Conclusion We are investigate different features. varied among China, exception hyperthyroidism.

(1) Background: The study aimed to investigate the association between radioactive iodine (RAI) treatment and long-term gastrointestinal disorders including ulcers, atrophic gastritis, secondary malignant neoplasm of stomach in patients with thyroid cancer. (2) Methods: data were extracted from National Health Insurance Database (NHIRD) Taiwan 2000 2015. Patients ages older than 20 cancer after thyroidectomy included divided into groups RAI (study cohort) without (comparison cohort). Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis Kaplan–Meier method used for statistical analysis. (3) Results: A total 7250 (with RAI: 5800, 1450) included. Kaplan-Meier revealed a significantly higher cumulative risk overall group (log-rank p = 0.034). was when receiving dose 1.11 GBq In subgroup analysis, risks gastric duodenal ulcers are treatment. (4) Conclusions: This that associated an increased disorders, specifically cancer, especially exceeds GBq.

Introduction: Hashimoto's disease is an autoimmune disorder that develops as a result of pathological reaction the patient's immune system, which consequently destroys body's own healthy cells and tissues. Genetic, environmental immunological factors influence its development. The may initially be asymptomatic. exact aetiology unknown. worldwide incidence approximately 10-12%. Purpose: This paper aims to present genetic factors, trace elements, diet on development course based current state knowledge. Conclusions: multifactorial disease, but relevance all presented in progression has not yet been confirmed. To date, special for patients created. Further research needed better understand pathogenesis order help control HT. Methods: Data article were retrieved using PubMed setting time descriptors 2013-2023.
