Physical distancing was used to prevent transmission of COVID-19, however there are concerns that this may promote harmful impacts on health, such as reduced levels physical practice and changes in food intake gut microbiota composition. This study evaluated the 6 months Brazilian older women upon body mass index (BMI), strength, activity level (IPAQ), eating habits, neurological markers (brain-derived neurotrophic factor-BDNF cortisol), cytokines (IL-2, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, interferon-IFN-γ, tumor necrosis factor-TNF-α), aging-associated (vascular endothelial growth factor-VEGF, insulin-like factor-IGF-1, klotho thymic stromal lymphopoietin-TSLP), besides specific groups fecal microbiota. Fifteen women, over 60 years old, residents São Paulo state (Brazil), were March September 2020. The adult with a mean age 66 ± 6.2 presented significantly increased BMI high effect size for non-protective foods consumption, light strength following distancing. Furthermore, serum concentration IFN-γ, IGF-1, IFN-γ/IL-5 higher, while lower IL-2 IL-5 observed after Significant increase noted only Blautia spp. abundance Several correlations at both before distancing, however, interestingly, many them lost or inverted following, new ones emerged. Abstract The emergence of cancer-causing bacteria and viruses that have become resistant to either antibiotics or viral treatment is often attributed their overuse in people livestock. Intriguingly, the class antidepressant drugs, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), may also contribute generating microorganisms with a profound disturbing role local cervix-vagina homeostasis.
