Photoaging, the primary cause of skin aging damage, results from chronic ultraviolet (UV) exposure, leading to dryness and wrinkle formation. Nutritional intervention has emerged as a practical approach for preventing addressing effect photoaging. The aromatic compound isolated clove oil, isoeugenol (IE), antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant qualities that work effectively restrict cancer cell proliferation. This investigation delved into advantages IE in alleviating photoaging using UVB-irradiated fibroblasts female SKH-1 hairless mouse models. alleviated UVB-induced photodamage Hs68 dermal by inhibiting matrix metalloproteinase secretion promoting extracellular synthesis. In photoaged mice, dietary reduced wrinkles, relieved dryness, inhibited epidermal thickening, prevented collagen loss. Additionally, intestinal dysbiosis caused prolonged UVB exposure was with an intervention. Spearman’s analysis showed strong correlation between gut microbiota. Given almost unavoidable contemporary living, this research demonstrated efficacy reversing photoaging, presenting promising tackle concerns related extrinsic aging.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a microvascular lesion that occurs as complication of diabetes mellitus. Many studies reveal retinal neurodegeneration early in its pathogenesis, and abnormal function can occur patients without any signs abnormalities. The gut microbiota large, diverse colony microorganisms colonize the human intestine. Studies indicated involved pathophysiological processes DR plays an important role development. On one hand, numerous demonstrated involvement neurodegeneration. other alterations bacteria RD cause or exacerbate DR. present review aims to underline critical relationship between After brief overview composition, function, essential ocular health, explores concept gut-retina axis conditions crosstalk. Because dysbiosis has been associated with DR, intends determine changes microbiome hypothesized mechanisms linking axis, predictive potential.

Senescence is a condition of cell cycle arrest that increases inflammation and contributes to the development chronic diseases in aging human body. While several compounds described as senolytics senomorphics produce health benefits by reducing burden senescence, less attention has been devoted lifestyle interventions similar effects. We describe here effects exercise, nutrition, caloric restriction, intermittent fasting, phytochemicals from natural products, prebiotics probiotics, adequate sleep on senescence model organisms humans. These can be integrated within healthy reduce delay consequences aging.

Our current understanding of skin cell senescence involves the role environmental stressors (UV, O3, cigarette smoke, particulate matter, etc.), lifestyle (diet, exercise, etc.) as well genetic factors (metabolic changes, hormonal, etc.). The common mechanism action these is disturbance cellular redox balance characterized by increased free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS), when overload intrinsic antioxidant defense system, it can lead to an oxidative stress condition. main mechanisms that activate in involve (1) damage telomeres causing their shortening; (2) oxidation proteomes DNA damage; (3) a lysosomal mass through activity resident enzymes such senescence-associated β-galactosidase (SA-β-gal) other proteins are products activity; (4) expression SASP, particular pro-inflammatory cytokines transcriptionally regulated NF-κB. However, targets ROS on proteome (oxi-proteome), followed telomeres, nucleic acids (DNAs), lipids, proteins, cytoplasmic organelles. As result, cycle arrest pathways, lipid peroxidation, content dysfunctional mitochondria, SASP synthesis occur. Furthermore, cells increases p16INK4A p53 inhibitors Rb CDks, which important for maintaining cycle. also promotes inactivation mTOR-mediated autophagic apoptotic leading senescence. markers alone cannot establish state senescence, multiple analyses encouraged confirmation. An updated more comprehensive approach investigating should include further assays ox-inflammatory molecular pathways consolidate cutaneous
