Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic drug utilized in the treatment of many solid-tissue cancers; it associated with several organ toxicities. For ages, Phoenix Dactylifera, known as " large jujube or dà zǎo," Chinese traditional medicine, has been employed for medicinal applications. The present study assesses role Date Fruit Polysaccharides (DFP) cisplatin-induced liver injury Rats were intraperitoneally treated single therapeutic dose cisplatin (5 mg/kg body weight) and then orally daily without 50/100 weight DFP 7 successive days. salvaging effects assessed on Cisplatin-induced hepatic damage, by investigating function markers, oxidative stress, pro-inflammatory biomarkers, histopathological assessment morphology hematoxylin/eosin stain. To elucidate contents, functional groups, antioxidative potentials DFP, chromatographic, spectroscopic, vitro assays analysed. Exposure to led considerable escalation tested biomarkers (ALP ALT), an upsurge levels/activities malondialdehyde, cytokines, myeloperoxidase significant drop level GSH (P < 0.05) compared control. Moreover, there also obvious decline antioxidant enzymes (catalase, SOD GPx) activities. Contrarily, post-treatment significantly inhibited heightened lipid peroxidation, inflammation, stress dose-dependently. Analysis chemical constituents, activities demonstrated important monosaccharides properties DFP. This shows ability serve probable agent damage treatment.

This study presents a comparison between two mistletoe plants-P. acacia and P. curviflorus-regarding their total phenolic contents antioxidant anticancer activities. curviflorus exhibited higher phenolics content (340.62 ± 19.46 mg GAE/g extract), demonstrated DPPH free radical scavenging activity (IC50 = 48.28 3.41µg/mL), stronger reducing power (1.43 0.54 mMol Fe+2/g) for ferric ions, greater capacity (41.89 3.15 GAE/g) compared to acacia. The cytotoxic effects of methanol extracts were examined on lung (A549), prostate (PC-3), ovarian (A2780) breast (MDA-MB-231) cancer cells. highest potential the was observed PC-3 cells, where more pronounced antiproliferative 25.83 μg/mL) than 34.12 μg/mL). In addition, both tested arrested cell cycle at Pre-G1 G1 phases, induced apoptosis. However, extract possessed apoptotic effect, mediated by upregulation p53, Bax, caspase-3, 8 9, downregulation Bcl-2 expression. pursuit link chemical diversity with bioactivities, its metabolomic profiling achieved LC-ESI-TOF-MS/MS technique. permitted tentative identification several phenolics-chiefly flavonoid derivatives, beside some triterpenes sterols-in extract. Furthermore, all metabolites in inspected binding modes towards CDK-2 EGFR proteins using molecular docking studies an attempt understand superiority over regarding effect Docking supported our experimental results; this taken together, could be regarded as prospect development chemotherapeutics cancer.

Cisplatin (CP), a widely used antineoplastic drug, could induce hepatotoxicity and is also one of the most common reasons for drug-induced liver injury (DILI). Licorice (Chinese name GanCao, GC) commonly herbal drug in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that has been shown to treat diseases DILI. CP documented apoptosis through promotion endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. However, exact role ER stress pathogenesis CP-induced remains unclear. A rat DILI model was constructed intraperitoneal injection CP, anti-DILI effect GC detected by coefficients, function tests, pathological staining, oxidative indices. Additionally, indices were investigated quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR), Western blotting, immunofluorescence (IF) on toxicity tissues LO2 cells. In group, indicators significantly elevated, lesions more pronounced, reactive oxygen species (ROS) level increased, expression markers, factors, related protein kinase RNA-like kinase/activating transcription factor 4/C/EBP homologous (PERK/ATF4/CHOP) pathway elevated. Treatment with improved function, reduced lesions, decreased ROS. addition, inhibited PERK/ATF4/CHOP pathway, demonstrating anti-CP-induced GC. this study, we verified protective rats clarified its mechanisms apoptosis.

This study aims to explore the protective impact of azilsartan (AZIL), an antihypertensive drug, in addition adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) on CISP-induced hepatotoxicity. After characterization labeling AD-MSCs PKH26 dye, 54 Wistar male albino rats were randomly divided into nine groups: I (CONT), II (AZIL.H), III (CISP), IV (CISP + AZIL.L), V AZIL.H), VI AD-MSCs), VII AZIL.L VIII AZIL.H IX VITA C). Serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), (AST), albumin levels determined. Assessment reactive oxygen species, malondialdehyde, glutathione contents, superoxide dismutase activity histopathological evaluations done hepatic tissue. Quantitative real-time PCR was utilized estimate expression TNF-α IL-6 genes. Cell homing labeled liver tissues investigated. Hepatic JNK1/2, ERK1/2, p38, Bax, Bcl-2, cleaved caspase-3 proteins investigated western blot analysis. CISP elevated serum ALT AST activities, reduced level, remarkably changed architecture. It increased genes, raised proteins, diminished Bcl-2 protein. By contrast, treatment animals with either AZIL or dramatically effects injection. Moreover, combination therapy (AZIL.L H AD-MSCs) considerably mitigated all previously mentioned alterations superior alone, which might be attributed AZIL-enhanced ability injured In conclusion, present findings demonstrated that improves hepatoprotective potential against modulating mitogen-activated protein kinase,

Date palm fruit (Phoenix dactylifera: Arecaceae) is rich in essential nutrients and possesses several pharmacological medicinal activities. The current study aimed to optimize a water bath-assisted extraction method for two cultivars of date fruits, Anbara (An) Reziz (Rz), investigated the protective effect optimized extract against CCl4-induced liver toxicity relation oxidative stress, inflammation, apoptosis, DNA integrity. optimization process was applied, using response surface methodology through adjusting three "factors"; time, temperature, rotation, allow maximum contents total phenolic (TPC), flavonoid (TFC), reducing power (FRAP) scavenging activity (ABTS) "responses". Extraction factors' application significantly enhanced TPC, TFC, FRAP, ABTS responses by 1.30, 1.23, 3.03, 2.06-fold, respectively An 2.18, 1.71, 1.11, 2.62-fold, Rz, convectional extraction. Furthermore, co-administered CCl4 with or Rz extracts body weight gain, amended hepatic architecture, diminished collagen fiber accumulation. reduced enzymes, hydroxyproline, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), MDA, inflammatory cytokine (TNF-α, NF-κB) levels, fragmentation, while increasing deteriorated adiponectin (ADP) antioxidant enzyme (GSH, GPX, NO, IFN-γ) relative CCl4-administered animals. effects Rz-optimized were also evidenced suppressing fibrosis improving function structure via modulating damage. Hence, fruits resulted which are an elevated power. presence these could help explain their proven hepatoprotective toxicity.
