Abstract Background Mediterranean Diet (MD) has many health benefits, particularly in reducing cardiovascular risk (CVR). However, it is still little known if there are any sex differences following this nutritional pattern and, thus, the potential sex-related repercussions on CVR obesity. The study aimed to characterize adherence MD and its association with factors subjects Methods A total of 968 females (33.81 ± 11.06 years; BMI 34.14 7.43 kg/m 2 ) 680 males (aged 34.77 11.31years; 33.77 8.13 were included a cross-sectional observational study. Lifestyle habits, anthropometric parameters, high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), evaluated. Results Females had significantly higher lower hs-CRP levels than (p < 0.001). Additionally, consumed more vegetables, fruits, legumes, fish/seafood, nuts, sofrito sauce less quantity olive oil, butter, cream, margarine, red/processed meats, soda drinks = 0.001), red wine, commercial sweets confectionery their counterparts. PREDIMED score ≤ 6 was associated increased both sexes. Conclusions MD, CVR, different food preferences males. Although same threshold been identified as spy preference individual foods could explain impact Graphical

Resveratrol is a stilbenoid from red grapes that possesses strong antioxidant activity. has been shown to have anticancer activity, making it promising drug for the treatment and prevention of numerous cancers. Several in vitro vivo investigations validated resveratrol’s capabilities, demonstrating its ability block all steps carcinogenesis (such as initiation, promotion, progression). Additionally, resveratrol found auxiliary pharmacological effects such anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, neuroprotective Despite properties, several obstacles, poor solubility bioavailability, well adverse effects, continue be key obstacles development. The relationship between climate change and viticulture has become increasingly apparent in recent years. Rising temperatures have been a critical factor early grape ripening. This, turn, led to wines with imbalanced acidity and, more importantly, higher alcohol content pH values. Today, consumers demand high-quality healthy products, this trend extended wine consumption. Consumers prefer reduced due the health risks associated To meet demand, researchers developed modified yeast strains that reduce during fermentation. These ferment less sugar or redirect carbon metabolism. However, their use may pose challenges, such as producing undesired secondary metabolites can affect characteristics. Additionally, are still divided on using genetically organisms (GMOs) food beverages. This review examines impact of quality consumer perception, taking into account new technologies used produce low-alcohol-content wines, low-cost techniques like bio-dealcoholization performed by non-GMO yeast, Saccharomyces, non-Saccharomyces.

Several hallmarks of metabolic syndrome, such as dysregulation in the glucose and lipid metabolism, endothelial dysfunction, insulin resistance, low-to-medium systemic inflammation, intestinal microbiota dysbiosis, represent a pathological bridge between syndrome diabesity, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative disorders. This review aims to highlight some therapeutic strategies against involving integrative approaches improve lifestyle daily diet. The beneficial effects foods containing antioxidant polyphenols, control, physical activity were also considered. We comprehensively examined large body published articles basic, animal, human studie, well recent guidelines. As result, dietary polyphenols from natural plant-based antioxidants adherence Mediterranean diet, along with exercise, are promising complementary therapies delay or prevent onset counteract diabesity cardiovascular diseases, protect disorders cognitive decline. Abstract The widespread use of video games has raised concerns about their potential negative impact on mental well-being. Nevertheless, the empirical evidence supporting this notion is largely based correlational studies, warranting further investigation into causal relationship. Here we identify effect gaming well-being in Japan (2020–2022) using game console lotteries as a natural experiment. Employing approaches designed for inference survey data ( n = 97,602), found that ownership, along with increased play, improved ownership reduced psychological distress and life satisfaction by 0.1–0.6 standard deviations. Furthermore, forest machine learning algorithm revealed divergent impacts between different types console, one showing smaller benefits adolescents females while other showed larger adolescents. These findings highlight complex digital media importance considering differential screen time effects.
