Background: investigate the enzymatic activity of Myeloperoxidase (MPO) in pre-diabetic and diabetic individuals explore modulation this by taurine supplementation, considering its potential anti-oxidative properties emerging evidence role glucose metabolism. Methods: This casecontrol study was done at Iraqi University College Medicine. It used advanced spectroscopic techniques kinetic modeling to measure amount MPO sera people who were healthy, prediabetic, diabetic. The Lineweaver-Burk plot derived from Michaelis-Menten equation ascertain Km Vmax MPO.Taurine inhibition assays also performed understand effect on kinetics. Results: The data showed that increased significantly control group group. This line with rising HbA1c levels BMI, suggesting a link between activity, glycemic control, obesity. The gender distribution no significant deviation, observed metabolic alterations are not biased. Conclusion:The pronounced elevation underscores enzyme's significance diseases. The results mean more research needs be how taurine, which is known have anti-inflammatory antioxidant properties, could improve possibly restore homeostasis, opening new way treat type 2 diabetes.

The early management of neonates with meconium ileus (MI) and cystic fibrosis (CF) is highly variable across countries not standardized. We conducted a systematic review according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-analyses statement. protocol was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42024522838). Studies from three providers academic search engines were checked inclusion criteria, using following terms: AND OR mucoviscidosis. Regarding patient population studied, criteria defined our predefined PICOT framework: studies on simple or complicated which confirmed have conservatively managed surgically treated. Results: A total 566 publications last 10 years verified by authors this find most recent relevant data, only 8 met criteria. Prenatally diagnosed pseudocysts, bowel dilation, ascites ultrasound are predictors neonatal surgery risk factor negative 12-month clinical outcomes MI-CF newborns. For MI, conservative treatment hypertonic solutions enemas can be effective more than 25% cases. If repeated fail disimpact bowels, Bishop–Koop stoma safe option. No comprehensive research has been so far determine ideal surgical MI. found that reported types stomas performed another study comparing patients depending management; conclusions contradictory especially since number cases analyzed each small. Between 18% 38% MI will require reoperation various complications mortality rate varies between 0% 8%. Conclusion: This reveals lack strong data support decisions, unequivocally shows care infants standardized, suggests great need international collaborative studies.

Coix seed (CS) has high nutritional value, but the deep processing of CS is relatively limited. Sprouting can significantly improve laying foundation for efficient consumption or further processing. The optimal conditions germination are a soaking temperature 36 °C 10 h and 29 24 h. Under these conditions, final rate reached 90%. Additionally, content γ-aminobutyric acid was 21.205 mg/100 g; soluble protein, free amino acids, acid, other essential substances increased in CS. Especially after germination, (GABA) by 7.8 times compared with GABA ungerminated Therefore, value flavor germinated better than those ones, which establishs solid its application developing various products such as compound health drinks, coix yogurt, others.

Abstract: Hemangiomas are vascular tumors resulting from the proliferation of endothelial-like cells; they most common childhood tumors, affecting approximately 5– 10% newborns and infants. Besides hemangiomas, which definitely benign despite their overgrowth potential, there other like hemangioendotheliomas, may display intermediate characteristics between hemangiomas highly malignant angiosarcomas. Changes in lung and gut microbial communities have been associated with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). This study aimed to investigate correlations between changes the host physiological indices an IPF model, exploring potential mechanisms of lung-gut axis pathogenesis. model rats were established via trans-tracheal injection bleomycin, assessments hematological indices, serum cytokines, histopathology, microbiome alterations. Significant differences structure composition observed compared controls, 14 7 genera showing significant abundance changes. Further analysis revealed 20 genera. Notably, 11 pairs correlated linked same IPF-related such as hydroxyproline, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), red cell distribution width-standard deviation (RDW-SD). We identified 24 instances where a genus each index, forming "lung genus—index—gut genus" relationships. Mediation showed that like MCV, RDW-SD mediated 10 (e.g., Cetobacterium, Clostridium XVIII ) Allobaculum. first describes gut-lung interactions fibrosis. suggests pathways underlying genus—host index—gut "gut index—lung correlations, thus providing clues further elucidate "gut-lung axis"
