Abstract Context Olive oil is a vegetable that provides health benefits, including reduction in free radicals and total cholesterol prevention of chronic diseases. The escalating incidence diseases presents substantial challenge to public health, prompting numerous studies assess these health-related effects. Despite several systematic reviews meta-analyses summarizing the association between olive consumption specific outcomes, there no summary accumulated evidence from reviews. Objective This umbrella review summarizes on or intervention adults its with multiple risk factors Data Sources We retrieved randomized trials observational oral interventions oil. search encompassed databases MEDLINE, Embase, Scopus, Web Science, LILACS, CENTRAL inception February 6, 2023. Extraction Two independent reviewers conducted data extraction assessed methodological quality using Joanna Briggs Institute tool. Analysis Overall, 17 studies, covering outcomes such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, type 2 diabetes, glucose metabolism, inflammatory oxidative markers, all-cause mortality, were included. suggests beneficial mortality. However, was less definitive for stress, blood lipid outcomes. Several revealed high heterogeneity wide confidence intervals, along limited number clinical trials. Conclusion Given low evidence, further involving are imperative. Prioritizing an in-depth analysis components control group distinct characteristics different effects strongly recommended. This study aims to evaluate extent which middle school adhere Mediterranean diet assess their activity habits overall perceptions. (2) Methods: is a cross-sectional observational study. Using self-reported data from sample 232 aged between 12 18, this delved into patterns, engagement activities, perceptions weight, approaches, measured by KIDMED YRB questionnaires. (3) The results demonstrated that adolescents engaged varied diet, 65.5% had recently activity. However, 25% reported exercise-related injuries, suggesting potential safety gaps. Extreme practices were minimal, but disparity perception loss desire emerged, hinting at underlying societal media influences. Gender differences certain minimal. N-acylethanolamines (NAEs) are endogenous lipid-signalling molecules involved in inflammation and energy metabolism. The potential pharmacological effect of NAE association managing inflammation-based metabolic disorders is unexplored. To date, targeting liver-adipose axis can be considered a therapeutic approach for the treatment obesity related dysfunctions. Here, we investigated OLALIAMID® (OLA), an olive oil-derived mixture, limiting liver adipose tissue (AT) dysfunction high-fat diet (HFD)-fed mice. OLA reduced body weight fat mass obese mice, decreasing insulin resistance (IR), as shown by homeostasis model assessment index, leptin/adiponectin ratio, marker adipocyte dysfunction. improved serum lipid hepatic profile immune/inflammatory pattern metainflammation. Background: The function of olive oil polyphenols in suppressing the oxidation low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is well-known Europeans. However, it remains unclear whether exert antioxidant effects Japanese people. Objectives: objective this study was to determine ingestion suppresses LDL population and effect depends on age. Methods: This randomized controlled double-blind crossover trial with a 2-week washout enrolled 80 healthy men aged 35–64 years. Participants ingested either 14 g extra virgin containing 5.0 mg (test food) or refined 0.3 (control for 3 weeks. primary outcome oxidized (malondialdehyde-modified LDL; MDA-LDL). Subgroup analyses based age (35–50 51–64 years) were also performed. Results: In all participants (35–64 years), there no significant differences MDA-LDL between control test groups. 35–50 years subgroup, led significantly larger reduction as compared group (p < 0.025). Conclusions: lower dietary total polyphenol intake subgroup suggests that suppressive influenced by habits more clearly demonstrated younger relatively low intake.
