Essential oil from Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium seeds was extracted using a soxhlet extractor for 48 hours. The extract's insecticidal activity against adult cowpea beetles (Callosobruchus maculatus) investigated at concentrations of 0.01, 0.03, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.18%. ABSTRACT Legume plants can interact with nitrogen‐fixing rhizobia bacteria and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) simultaneously, forming a tripartite symbiotic association. Co‐inoculation studies performed on variety of legumes have shown that AMF influence each other when they co‐occur in association affect host plant nutrition performance. Although single plant‐microbe interactions been extensively studied, our understanding the field is insufficient current knowledge cannot predict outcome, which appears to depend many parameters. In this review we examine state research legume‐rhizobium‐AMF symbiosis. We investigate dynamic interaction between two microsymbionts effect one microbe other, both at physiological molecular levels, result dual inoculation growth, fitness response stresses. Rhizobia extraradically intraradically, effects gene expression levels are observed, positively regulates nodulation, while root colonisation either or negatively. Factors observed regulate establishment function symbiosis, such as rhizobia‐AMF combination, identity environmental conditions discussed.

This study investigates the effect of daily consumption wheat biscuits enriched with plant proteins in postprandial metabolic responses women overweight/obesity who follow an energy-restricted diet. Thirty apparently healthy participated a 12-week randomized controlled trial and were assigned either to control (CB) or intervention (PB) group. Participants consumed conventional isocaloric biscuit containing high amounts amino acids appetite-regulating properties, i.e., BCAAs L-arg. At baseline end intervention, mixed meal tolerance test was performed. The glucose, insulin, ghrelin, GLP-1, glicentin evaluated over 180 min. After 12 weeks, both groups experienced significant decreases body weight, fat mass, waist circumference. In PB group, trend towards higher weight loss observed, accompanied by lower carbohydrate, fat, energy intakes (p < 0.05 compared CB group), while fasting insulin HOMA-IR index also observed baseline). groups, similar GLP-1 detected, iAUC for 0.05). Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, yemeklik tane baklagil türlerine (yeşil mercimek, nohut ve kuru fasulye) filizlendirme işlemi uygulanarak kadmiyum kurşun ağır metallerinin miktarını belirlemek aynı baklagillerin çiğ pişmiş formlarının metal içerikleri ile karşılaştırmaktır. Yöntem: Baklagil türleri üç farklı şekilde hazırlanmıştır. Çiğ numunelere herhangi bir işlem uygulanmayıp numuneler için ıslatılan baklagiller düdüklü tencerede 1:2 oranında su eklenerek pişirilmiştir. Filizlendirme hava almasını sağlayacak tek sıra halinde, aralarında boşluk bırakılarak raflarına dizilmiş 3 gün sulanarak 5. günde hasat edilmiştir. Elde edilen numunelerin analizleri NMKL No:186 metoduna göre kütle spektrometresi (ICP-MS) kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Çiğ, filizlenmiş numunelerinde saptanmamıştır. fasulye numunesinde 0.298 ± 0.086 mg/kg; ise 0.615 0.178 mg/kg tespit edilirken yeşil mercimekte pişirme işlemleri sonucunda bu numunelerde de edilmemiştir. Sonuç: baklagillere uygulanan işlemi, azaltmıştır. Filiz sürdürülebilirlik açısından güvenilir olduğu sağlıklı beslenme programlarında kullanılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Ancak işlenmesinin metallerin uzaklaştırılması yetersiz kalabileceği göz önünde bulundurularak daha fazla çalışma yapılması önerilmektedir.

Eating habits have been proposed as a potential therapeutic approach for migraines; nevertheless, scientific evidence to support firm recommendations is lacking. Specifically, dietary in migraineurs living Spain not investigated. Therefore, this study aimed evaluate their patterns and examine how these vary based on the frequency of migraine attacks or degree migraine-related disability. An exploratory, observational, cross-sectional pilot was conducted 260 individuals (18-64 years old) diagnosed with Spain. Data diet, lifestyle, characteristics were collected an online questionnaire consisting food enquires about perceptions different aspects related migraines. Statistical differences analyzed Kruskal-Wallis test, followed by Dunn's post-hoc using JASP. The consumption plant-based foods below AESAN recommendations. No observed terms servings across attack frequencies levels Both chronic group severe disability showed some considered triggers (such chocolate, cured cheese, meats, alcoholic beverages). Moreover, people who suffered from infrequent consumed significantly more caffeine than those had migraine. It remains unclear whether avoiding driven biological effects certain compounds influenced unfounded beliefs. Thus, further research role diet management necessary.

Background Developing Sustainable Food-Based Dietary Guidelines (SFBDGs) aligned with sustainable healthy diets (SHDs) is critical for addressing food and nutrition insecurity, mitigating diet-related diseases, improving public health, promoting environmental sustainability. Lebanon, a low-middle-income Eastern Mediterranean country, faces significant challenges including high prevalence of wide-spread noncommunicable limited natural resources ongoing economic, social crises. Objective To develop culture-specific SFBDGs Lebanon recommendations SHDs, integrating nutrition, factors. Methods The were formulated using diet optimization mathematical tool, Optimeal ® , which generates patterns resembling current while satisfying nutritional, cost, footprint (EFP) constraints. Data from the latest national consumption survey Lebanese adults served as reference pattern. Nutritional health constraints based on EAT-Lancet World Health Organization (WHO) Reference Intakes (DRIs). Cost maximized to match cost groups within pattern, EFP impact these groups. optimized was later translated into SFBDGs. Results Compared consumption, recommended increases in whole grains (+287%), dairy products (+61%), legumes (+50%), fish (+26%) reductions refined (−66%), red meat (−65%), poultry (−32%), added sugars fresh fruit juices (−12%). Diet led reduction calorie intake (−6%) EFPs, greenhouse gas emissions (−24%), energy use (−7%), water (−6%), maintaining cost. Conclusion developed resulting addressed sustainability providing scientific foundation policies SHDs that are affordable culture-specific, can mitigate insecurity malnutrition alleviate some country’s challenges.

Background/Objectives: Sleep is a fundamental physiological function that plays crucial role in maintaining health and well-being. The aim of this study was to assess dietary lifestyle factors associated with adequate sleep duration children adolescents living five Mediterranean countries. Methods: Parents taking part an initial survey for the DELICIOUS project were examined their children's eating habits (i.e., meal routines), as well other behaviors physical activity levels, screen time, etc.) potentially (defined 8-10 h according National Foundation). youth healthy index (Y-HEI) used diet quality adolescents. Multivariate logistic regression analyses performed calculate odds ratios (ORs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs), indicating level association between variables. Results: A total 2011 individuals participated survey. younger parents reported being more likely have inadequate duration. Among behaviors, having breakfast (OR = 2.23, CI: 1.62, 3.08) at school 1.33, 1.01, 1.74) In contrast, alone, outside home less duration, although these findings only significant unadjusted model. After adjusting covariates, better 1.63, 1.24, 2.16), including higher intake fruits, meat, fish, whole grains, Conclusions: Adequate seems be highly influenced by related individual lifestyles, family quality.
