Pediatric obesity is associated with a wide range of comorbidities beyond metabolic changes, affecting cardiovascular, endocrine, reproductive, musculoskeletal systems, and also mental health. Hypertension, commonly observed in children obesity, increases the risk long-term cardiovascular disease. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) presents another significant endo-reproductive challenge that often develops during adolescence females, leading to further adulthood. Additionally, excess adiposity can negatively impact bone health by modifying metabolism increasing fracture risk. Obesity strongly linked disorders, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, which exacerbate unhealthy lifestyle behaviors disorders. Given limitations poor adherence traditional treatment strategies, nutraceuticals have emerged as potential complementary therapies due their bioactive properties. Various compounds demonstrated antihypertensive, insulin-sensitizing, anti-inflammatory effects, while others support promote well-being. Herewith, we discuss role managing hypertension, PCOS, health, issues individuals evaluating mechanisms action clinical relevance. Integrating nutraceutical dietary interventions may improve outcomes prevent obesity-related comorbidities. Further, emphasize need for large-scale studies, especially pediatric patients.

Childhood obesity is a growing global health issue. Its rising prevalence linked to genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Obesity in children could lead different comorbidities complications with an increased risk of metabolic disorders, such as insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). First-line treatment involves dietary modifications changes; however, adherence often poor remains significant challenge. Pharmacotherapy, while potential option, has limitations availability can cause side effects, leading interest alternative treatments, nutraceutical compounds. Derived from natural sources, these compounds have anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, neuroprotective, antiaging, antitumor, insulin-sensitizing, glucose, lipid-lowering effects. This review describes commonly used compounds, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, polyphenols (such resveratrol curcumin), berberine, white mulberry leaves others, pre- probiotics the management obesity, evaluating evidence on their mechanisms action efficacy comorbidities. The suggests that integration nutraceuticals into diet may positively influence body mass index, glucose metabolism, lipid profiles, gut microbiota composition reduce inflammation obese individuals. These effects provide future practical guidance for clinical practice, contribute improvement, potentially prevent obesity-related complications. In this first part, we discuss sensitivity T2DM, MASLD addition interventions.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by persistent hyperglycemia, which major contributing factor to kidney (CKD), end-stage renal (ESRD), and cardiovascular-related deaths. There are several mechanisms leading injury, with hyperglycemia well known stimulate oxidative stress, inflammation, tissue remodeling, dysfunction in the vascular system organs. Increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) decrease bioavailability of vasodilators while increasing vasoconstrictors, resulting an imbalance tone development hypertension. Treatments for diabetes focus on controlling blood glucose levels, but due complexity disease, multiple drugs often required successfully delay microvascular complications, including CKD. In this context, naringenin, flavonoid found citrus fruits, has demonstrated anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic, antioxidant effects, suggesting its potential protect from deleterious effects diabetes. This review aims summarize scientific evidence naringenin as therapeutic option diabetes-induced
